So who would we want in if MP does go ?

Edgar Davids to provide some flair in midfield. Gareth Ainesworth just to bring his doors cover band to st marys, could have the whole squad signing light my fire to take us to the champions league. -

Sunderland 1-1 SAINTS // Post-Match Reaction
pingwing replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Good god Sunderland is far away! One of us drove up whilst I came back as our driver seemed to experience some sort of bout of death from the night before which meant a sober afternoon in Sunderland... A real eye opener of why the north is to be left so far away. Anyway, nice ground, blindingly bad home support (was there a song other than the goal?) though they were friendly northern people, we out played them about 85 mins of the game apart from when they put a second striker on and we had about 2 mins to get used to that (and notice they were both dreadful) and then the tiny patch where they kept running about till they eventually lucked a goal. I nearly cried when that went in as it was one of the most undeserved goals in the universe, then I nearly cried when punch bundled it over the line to not kill the drive back. JWP running back to the middle was hilarious as well! On a better day/worse day for Mingoulet we could have had 6 or 7 as that team is beyond poor, no one seems to care, there's a tiny bit of fear from Di Canio but you can see he'll last about 6 more weeks if he can't shift about 10/11 members of his playing squad as so many of them are just that bad. Their best players are the keeper, Rose on loan for Spurs (no idea what they will do next week for that), N'Dyie who dives/cheats/shouts a lot and that ginger kid that ran about a lot, rest didn't really make an impression or got beaten so much the goal genuinely looked a surprise. Our plus side, we really seem to be getting into the stride of playing well and playing imaginative football, shame Lallana/Lambert weren't quite getting it on today and Lambert wasn't getting back off side as much (slight annoyance not everything going forward was coming off I felt) but it is much more positive than against West Brom and a few others this year where we forget how to break teams down properly. Best news of the day as well Charlie Adam should be banned for next week and he was the closest thing Stoke had to a professional footballer on the basis he could pass. All in all mathematically safe should have been assured 4-6 weeks ago, but it is done now -
As above meet in Sunderland a mate has become victim to a curry egg and we had to leave him behind in Birmingham

That lacked the announcer bloke going into horse racing commentary mode to tell everyone where he's been and why bog roll was stuck to his studs.

Done, hard to think back to some of the earlier games though!

The people who leave bang on 80 mins annoy me, that's far too much of a game to miss. Same token the people who are there more than 10 mins before the game are really odd... Also that man I sat in front of last season that went on and on about how he hated Guly, especially when he scored. The Millwall game at home he turned around and proclaimed he could have scored that and a better footballer like Chaplow could have gotten a hattrick from them....

That was a great day out! veal sausages, cardinal lager to drink during the game and having a **** with Lallana at half time. Met Cortese there as well, found out how little butters cost and had my mate tell him all about how just championship football would do him for a few years.

That's got to be the goal music for when we score and sad trombone http://www.sadtrombone.com for when they score
-
He's English and therefore "knows the game" or "can put in a good tackle"...

Woolstone ferry seems like a good choice here. Or last time there was a thread on this (last week) the pink panther theme seemed the best conclusion.

Lee Catermole is out as well but I don't think he counts as a footballer....
-
Swindon, the worst place in all of humanity (along with stadium mk). Those were 3 odd league games. Ha! I keep forgetting about that miserable afternoon, thing the highlight might have been McDonalds on the way back sing as we couldn't see most the game.
-
Woah the north has his a new low since the last time I went there!
-
Seems fair, Fulham gave us a good run for our money with Jos the boss and Kelvin Davis up front for them this season so they should build on that for champions league next season.
-
Clearly win the league now Fergie has retired....
-
To be fair they have a massive stadium and it is the north where everyone spends their cash first on feeding their whippets...
-
Because he wouldn't shout at them for getting relegated in the first place?
-
Can't be right, everyone knows Arsenal have first preference on all our players and we never pick up amazing bargains like that....
-
Uwe would do nicely
-
From the upper upper tier I can't see why not!

Alexander Büttner - quicker and better than fox, could have given Lallana some competition, in reality shines the boots and gets a few cup/meaningless games at United because of agent fees.
