  1. I think he is Benthelegend ot some other irritating school kid. The vast majority of Saints fans, live more than a £3 petrol / bus / train journey away from the stadium and paying the booking fee is the cheapest way. There are lots of season ticket holders on here that don't seem to understand that people that don't have season tickets generally don't because they don't want to go to all games or can't because of other commitments... so the whole " buy 6 games and pay 1 booking fee doesn't apply to the vast majority ( I estimate 95% ) of casual ticket buyers who just won't attend 6 games in a row.
  2. I don't know Steve, I have no problems with the pricing ( although obviously, they could have given more options on how to pay for it, not sure if I have mentioned that before ), season tickets are pretty relative. I was just pointing out how Nick is cherry picking his figures... you can't not include other clubs early bird deals when that's what sells 80% of the tickets. Matchday prices however, are pricey and can't see people wanting to pay £25 to watch some of the less attractive games.
  3. The point being, it's a balancing act. You price as expensive as you can to maximise your crowd, then push the add-ons ( programmes, burgers, beers, megastore etc ) when the customer is in your shop ( stadium ) . I don't think our prices are unreasonable, but I think the club could have made them a bit cheaper, or at the very least, graded the games like the old Gold, Silver and Bronze system at The Dell. That Dagenham and Redbridge game is going to be an embarrasingly low attendance. Home support of less than 10k imo. I really can't imagine many people stumping up £25 for Daggers on a cold November night.
  4. Supply and demand Dulldays, supply and demand. We have 32,000 seats to sell...
  5. The prices are OK, I was just highlighting that Nick G's figures were wrong. You can't conveniently forget to include the early bird offers the clubs had, as they would have sold 80% of their tickets during this period! * I did get Brighton ticket prices of FGG as they are not published, so they may be last seasons prices.
  6. OK Comparing actual ticket prices is indeed the best way. We have the most expensive tickets in the league, Brightons tickets are £1 more, however they don't have a booking fee or matchday surcharge, so infact we work out more expensive. How's that?
  7. I don't think our prices are OTT,never said they were, what I said is they are the 3rd most expensive in the league, and our matchday prices are the most expensive in the league. You can't compare 'most expensive ticket' because some grounds have retardedly expensive centre areas... but comparing a standard adult price to other clubs, we have the most expensive matchday prices, and I believe at least all of the London clubs and Brighton should have more expensive tickets. So in summary... our season tickets are acceptable value, our matchday tickets are pricey.
  8. How many times do you dullards need to be told before it goes in? I didn't compare family enclosure prices... if I did then I would have posted up Hudds cheapest ticket at £125 for example. These are standard adult seats.
  9. Once again, just so you are aware... I left family enclosure seats out. This is for standard adult seats.
  10. No, I kept family enclosure tickets out of it... if I didn't then the gap would be even bigger. These prices are cheapest renewal prices for a single adult non-family enclosure. I am sure you agree that comparing these prices is the only fair way. You can't say MK Dons have more expensive tickets than us when theirs have been on sale at a discounted price for months!
  11. And what is the point posting about new tickets? 80% of tickets are sold during the early bird... if not more. The only FAIR way to compare prices is look at the cheapest seats... not the most expensive. Comparing NEW season tickets is pointless...
  12. MK Dons Nicky said MK £325 (for corner) to £550 Our survey says £250 - £480 http://www.mkdons.com/staticFiles/83/49/0,,10420~149891,00.pdf Any more Nicky? I am getting tired, you conveniently forget early bird prices in most of them ( where the vast majority of season tickets are sold ) Let's deal in facts eh rather than twisting the figures to try and win arguments.
  13. Sheffield Wednesday Nicky says £381 to £535 (another group at £463) Our survey says £333 to £535 http://www.swfc.co.uk/page/SeasonTickets/0,,10304,00.html More? Shall we try MK Dons next?
  14. Bristol Rovers Nicky says £414 to £598 Our Survey says... £260-£410 http://www.bristolrovers.co.uk/page/SeasonTickets/ Shall I go on?
  15. Not really... allow me just to post one... Nick says adult season tickets at Hudds start at £360 Our survey says... £305 http://www.htafc.com/page/SeasonTicketsDetail/0,,10312~1997128,00.html Thats the only one I can be arsed to find, I know pretty much all of Nickys figures are wrong, I will post them tommorow as they are all saved on my work PC.
  16. Nick is posting figures which are wrong. He has always told me, if you are going to start a debate, use FACTS... his figures are wrong.
  17. No, I was busy having a nice drink with the girl with the ex-boyfriend.
  18. I could pick holes in them prices... which are incorrect ( I know this because I have them all to hand ) We have the 3rd most expensive 'cheapest' season tickets. We have THE most expensive 'cheapest' matchday tickets. FACTO I will give you until the morning to amend your figures before I pwn you Nicky. xx
  19. When you look at a bird, she is quite good looking, then meet her Mum, when they have the same facial features ( ableith not as porky )... does it affect whether you want to get into a relationship if the mum is hideously ugly? I have met a few birds, who then when you meet their mum, you think " f*ck that, I am just gonna slam you now and not get into a relationship with you because I can see how you will end up in a few years time , you're Mum looks disgusting " Anyone else feel the same?
  20. I think you are all getting retardedly spasticatingly pedantic. The most expensive non-corporate ticket is £28, the booking fee might be an option that can be avoided, so can buying the most expensive ticket, by going in the Northam for example. BUT , the most expensive ticket will cost you £28. Where have I talked about the cheapest way to buy a ticket? I haven't, simply stated the most expensive ticket will cost you £28
  21. Firstly, another person who doesn't understand " I speak for myself " that I clearly state in that post. I was speaking on behalf of myself, whilst still knowing there will be many more people like me. Secondly, there is a £2 matchday surcharge, thus making the most expensive seat on a matchday is £27. Yes, that's right, the brilliant marketing has made it more expensive to buy in advance for alot of people that it is on the day! Yes, I do have an answer for everything.
  22. Forget about 125th year... to cancel it weeks after Mary Bates passed away is what is most disturbing for me. But yes, you would also expect us to get a bit more than a money making kit for 125th anniversary.
  23. That's what happened to me as well, I thought Cortese had banned me for a minute!!!
  24. When I go online to purchase a ticket, the most expensive ticket it £28 and that is the amount that will be debited from my card directly to the club. By definition, 'Top Whack' means 'Most Expensive' - Our most expensive tickets will cost you £28. I dont think I need to explain it again.
