I would say that letting us know before the start of the season would be acceptable and any longer than that, it would be another middle finger to fans.
-
Just like they did about the payment plan, when they recieved over 100 complaints or through the Echo postbag? Oh...
-
You've gone from talking about Top Whack tickets to talking about the cheapest tickets? Which one are we talking about?
-
What part of "speaking for myself" didn't you understand Dulldays?
-
There is that, although speaking for myself, I am NEVER in Southampton during ticket office opening times. I live and work in Romsey. Nice try Mr Pedant. :-)
-
No. The economics thing was just an example to Mark in reply to him telling me how to buy a ticket and save some money. The booking fee forms part of the ticket price and the full £28 goes to the club. If I go online now and order a ticket for the Itchen Centre they will charge me £28 £28 is therfore the most expensive ticket available at the moment at SMS. Yes?

I'd love to pay the £3 booking fee....
Dave Benson Phillips replied to CB Saint's topic in The Saints
No, all they are doing is putting a price rise onto the tickets which is hidden as a booking fee, so the more simple people like Mark SFC don't notice they have actually put the prices up. If they were making things clearer, they would have put the ticket price DOWN £3 and then added a booking fee... not just added it on to the existing price. It's a price rise. Simple as that. -
Great idea. But someone has been in contact with the ticket office and been told there won't be one this year, if November was the plan I am sure it would have been mentioned that SFC " are looking at the possibility of a friendly at some point during the season " or words to that effect.

There are many different types of supporter. There isn't any other stories/theories about payment plans. To this date I am the only one who has gone away and got the facts... the only one with terms and conditions... the only one who has researched other clubs... the only one who has spoken to both finance companies... the only one who has had it confirmed the club didn't even approach them. So on subjects like that, excuse me if I am a little more passionate about telling people they are wrong when I have got the facts and they come on here with speculation. It's not hard for someone to pick up the phone to Zebra of Premium Credit if they want to prove me wrong... funnily enough nobody has, or if they have they havent published their findings on here. I wonder why?!?!

'Top Whack' you said. For anyone not in walking distance of SMS, it's £28... Let me explain a simple concept and lesson in economics. What you are suggesting I do is spend £5 in petrol / £4.50 on the bus / £4.00 on the train to buy a ticket from SMS to save me £3. Do I need to break down the maths for you?

Not me. Database housekeeping, makes perfect sense to erase people who have been inactive for a year or two. -
Yes, for someone like yourself, you will have to pay the booking fee as the most economic measure ( you are not saving money, it's a charge ) Still doesn't take away from the FACT that our top whack tickets are £28, does it?
-
Spending more than £3 in petrol to pick them up from the ticket office. Either way, it's gonna cost me at least an extra £3 to get my tickets.. So no, there is no way I can avoid paying extra. ( And Mr Pedantic, Marky was talking about 'top whack' tickets, which to me meant he was talking about our most expensive tickets. Which are £28? Agreed?
-
Yes they are, because I am the only person on this forum which has gone to the effort of actually approaching the finance companies and getting their terms and conditions, finding out how it works and what costs are involved, as well as researching other clubs and finding out that every single other club in the country of our size or above has installment plans, which even without the facts direct from the finance companies, it is pretty obvious to anyone with half a brain that if every single club* is doing it, the revenue must outweigh the costs... or every single other club in the country* *of similar size. But no, because SRS announced it, it must mean he is wrong. To be honest I wouldn't dream of spouting libel about them because they could ( and would as they have with other people ) threaten me with legal action.

They did have a database cleanse at some point in the last couple of years. -
Top Whack is £25...? You seem to be forgetting the £3 booking fee... which makes our most expensive ticket is £28... that £3 is not free money, it is part of the purchase price. Agreed? And I didn't respond to the rest because it was just sarcastic drivel.

Installment plans gumbo. Putting it down to high adminstration costs... which is an absolute pile of sh!t that even the most simple person can see ( unless they have some strange blinded love for Cortese ) . I sent them through PROOF that it won't cost them anything to run and all they said back was " we are not talking about it " . ( I am not going to talk about installment plans again, I proved they don't cost anything, only some of the obsessive anti-SRS's /pro-Corteses can't see that )

Another Insight into NC's decision making?
Dave Benson Phillips replied to Secret Site Agent's topic in The Saints
He doesn't use the senior management staff he had now, which is clear to see by the completely amateur ticketing structure that a man of David Lukers skill and experience wouldn't allow to be signed off. -
I will only bother to pick out the one bit. Our 'top whack' tickets are £28 per game now. There's a fact for you. Do you believe tickets will only go up £7 between now and the Prem?
-
Absolutely no chance of there being an open and un-censored fans forum. No chance whatsoever.
-
Didn't Hypo say he was told by the Ticket Office there wouldn't be a TBT game? But you're right, the communication at the club is so p!ss poor, there's every chance there will be a game.

Georgie would not touch you with a bargepole. FACT

Mary Bates chose the Ted Bates Trophy as a fitting tribute to her husband when he passed away. Mary herself passed away only weeks ago. Excuse me if I find it a bit inconsiderate to pull a Ted Bates Trophy game this year of all years. ( Whilst still keeping an open mind, as the clubs communication is so poor there may well still be one ) And I see no quote whatsoever from Pardew about not wanting a high profile friendly anywhere and do not believe he wouldn't think it was a good idea to test the players.
-
I am not asking that. I am asking you a very simple question. Can you understand there are 2 sides to the argument and nobody is wrong in having their opinion? Yes or No?
-
So you agree that some people might want one, some people might not be bothered, and both sets of supporters have a right to their opinion and both are correct and justified? Yes?
