    Guly

Seeing as Guly has barley played this season he should be full of energy and commitment. The danger is a player can lose their touch etc. I thought he played well. Fair play fella.
  3. what really hit me today is that we have no "Game changer" on the bench. Spurs bought on Ade and that seem to help them in a big way.
  4. This was the only time I wanted AL to do one of his turns. Instead he took the shot first time.....like we have been screaming fr him to do. Ironic!
  5. Had to be him didn't it? Bt let me ask you......was he man of the match? Was he ****! Huddlestone was brilliant for them. Hard to call MOM for us. Gutted didn't deserve it lose but could see a goal coming.
  6. Lol! Would be great to see him come back, don't really see it happening though.
  7. Premier league survival is key this year so I guess you would have to take the guarantee of 17th wouldn't you? However I would be extremely disappointed if we did that, after the mid season form we have shown.
  8. FWIW I think he has point. I think we have been found wanting in many games. Yes neat possession football but no cutting edge. before anyone jumps on it yes i know we beat Pool, Chelsea and City, but we failed (IMHO) misrably to teams who we "should be beating" Especially if consider who we bought. As per every season I am sure the club will be looking at the current crop of players and looking to see who stays, who goes. we got found not for the first time if a team soaks up the pressure and hits us with pace and power, we are gash. Hence we beat/play extremely well against teams who want to play. Its the PLAN B that we need to cater for. We need a really pacey CB and could also do no worse that place a bid for Lakaku (Spelling) He reminded me of Jones before we sold him. If we are prepared t pay 12mill for Gaston why not offer similar for him? Cant see him playing at Chelsea next year.
  9. If I recall were we not beating the bottom (those around us) at the middle of the season, villa Newcastle QPR. Getting draws although should haves against Norwich, Sunderland Swansea ? What's changed? Other than the manager.
  10. Good idea.

    Danny Fox

Because he went two footed when he REALLY didnt need to.
  12. Newcastle 5-0 down on their own turf
  13. Mauricio Pochettino conceded that the 3-0 defeat to West Brom was the worst performance of his tenure as Saints manager. We have shown a side of ourselves which is completely opposed to who we really are" Mauricio Pochettino A forgettable loss at St Mary’s was compounded by two red cards for the hosts as both Gaston Ramirez and Danny Fox saw red in the second 45 which was made worse by goals from Romelu Lukaku and Shane Long, after Marc-Antonie Fortune had given the Baggies a first half lead. “It is clear to me that West Brom were better than us today and I can’t really say anything other than that,” Pochettino told Saints Player after the game. “That is the worst defeat since I have been here in Southampton, the team didn’t show any positive aspects, which makes it the worst defeat in over three months. “We weren’t really in the game from the start and that is what happens when you are not. When we conceded the goal in the sixth minute we just started having problems, we were against a current and not able to get hold of the game. “We conceded a goal from a corner and then became really nervous and anxious and weren’t able to recover from that. Nothing was working for us today and basically we weren’t on the ball.” The gaffer didn’t place any of the blame on the dismissals of the two players, but admitted that he hadn’t had the best view of the incidents. “I did not see them clearly and I need to see the reviews on the TV before I can comment properly,” he said. “In the first half Jack Cork could have gone off as well for two yellow cards so it is something I need to review. “From my point of view on the pitch it is very hard to see what has happened. “There were other incidents that occurred during the match that could have also meant a red card or a yellow card at least, so we will review that but more importantly we need to review our performance today. We weren’t very good today and need to correct our mistakes.” Pochettino vowed to quickly put right the wrongs from the performance, and believes his side’s true character will return. “We have to learn from this defeat,” he acknowledged. “It has been a real tough defeat and we didn’t think that we would be defeated in such a way. We need to be intelligent, learn from this result and learn from our mistakes. “The team was not showing any of the negative signs that we have seen today through the week, I think we were uncomfortable from the beginning and I think overall we have just had a complete blackout today. “We have shown a side of ourselves which is completely opposed to who we really are.” Read more at http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/news/article/gaffer-we-were-second-best-794581.aspx#8hzToZqMdJqDdYGc.99
  14. I would have Lukaku over Benteke anyday

    Danny Fox

cant stop seeing that challenge. I hope the club fine him and Gaston for that matter for their needless challenges but Fox could have ended the WBA's playing career. What was he thinking?
  16. Sorry just don't see the point of this thread.
  17. so back to the match then.......... MP would have learned a lot form today performance ab out the caliber of his playing staff. We have been playing very well of late and getting some pretty good results. But when the chips are down that is when you see the real player, the one who can keep their head and still produce. Spider and Davis for example. we became everything we hate as supporters, dirty. Pulling people back etc. Just hope its a one off and we put in a good performance next game.
  18. Spider led from the middle today. I would like to see him captain. Non-stop running and always tried. Davis was worth a shout also.
  19. Just seen the Fox challenge again - what was he thinking. This should be an internal discipline situation as well as the standard ban. Shocking and I am embarrassed that one of our players have gone in like that. Gaston, you also deserve a kick up the arse for elbow. Replay again does you no favors and shows that you looked for it.
  20. Dont really know what to say really. West Brom were BY FAR the better side allover the pitch. Quick look at the stats say that West Brom had 9 shots ON TARGET!! We managed 12 OFF TARGET!! We really need to get our shooting boots on. When teams do this to us we need our plan B which we just dont seem to have. My MOM Spider for his endless running. Welcome back to earth Saints fans. Top 6?? Long way to go.
  21. Maybe? I saw it all the way from my computer that he was going
  22. Fox you **** two footed
  23. Got exactly what we deserve today west Bromwich have been brilliant all game.
