One of the best rule changes has been banning the keeper picking up a back pass. Can you remember those games when the away team came to park the bus and repeatedly passed back for the keeper to pick it up, bounce it a couple of times and generally waste time (then repeat the process).

Family communicating via SaintsWeb! Love it!

I hope you both have a fantastic time and a great Saints performance to enjoy!

Me too (also 1969) best Christmas present ever for 9 year old me!

I was struck by a quote from Norwegian press when Elyounoussi signed, saying that he was delighted to have signed for us as now his financial future was secure for life (or words to that effect); and I thought at the time, does this sound like a player who is hungry for success on the field??? I don't think we've witnessed much "hunger" or heard much frustration from him about his failure to make much of an impact. Maybe there's a touch of the Sagonowskis about him and he'll suddenly look highly motivated towards the end of his contract.

Time for the fanbase to stick with the manager whatever??
Wilf replied to OldNick's topic in The Saints
Farke took over at Norwich in May 2017 and had a really underwhelming first season, lost best players (Alex Pritchard, James Maddison, Murphy twins, Gunn); but the usually impatient Norwich fans were patient because the manager had a plan. This season leading the Championship with a group of players with no obvious stars. A lesson for us possibly? -
1. Monkou at Norwich - still gives me the shivers to think of it 2. Alec Lindsay - looping headed o.g at the Dell to give Saints a 1:0 win over Liverpool 3. Chris Marsden - mazy dribble at Ipswich 4. Channon - 89th minute winner against champions Everton (1970) 5. Jimmy Gabriel - header against Spurs, my first Saints goal (1969)

Can someone set up one of those vote things?
-
I notice we haven't had a vote for MoM for the Burnley game; I was thinking of tracking MoM votes through the season to see how we rate players over the season. Still time to start with Burnley?
-
Yes, great attacking left back for Norwich
-
Yes, highly rated by Norwich fans.
-
If it's any consolation, last time I saw him play (0:2 Norwich defeat at home to Cardiff) the only interesting thing he did all game was go on a mazy dribble in the wrong direction and lost the ball in his own area! Our Harry Reed on the other hand had a good game....

Redmond wasn't even that great in division 2, pretty much the same as he is for us
-
Talk in Norwich is that it's a done deal, 24-28 hours to finalise.
-
Jenkins (Tommy) instead of Paul Jones, if only for that goal at West Ham
-
Frannie instead of Frank Saul
-
I thought Cedric had a good game, especially going forward.

Another vote for Ron Davies from me!
-
For Young England team he looked superb as the number 10 playmaker, centre of midfield using a range of passes to dictate the play, in addition to his superb dead ball skills. I wonder if he will ever be able to step up to do this for Saints?
-
Right tactics for the games in question, doesn't mean that is how he will always set us out.

Well done Mark Hughes, job done!
