    Stamp Duty

You always want to put people in camps. Why the fuck do you think my thoughts on stamp duty is anything to do with the party doing it? Very lazy and naive way to debate. As for the economic argument - really don’t know where to start at you laughable model. I am happy to pay more as it will go up in value. I don’t want to pay less because……that will not go up in value? Okay then.

    Stamp Duty

Maths not your strong point. And ‘only increase in value’. - be careful with that one.

    Stamp Duty

To illustrate on a £300k property say I would have paid 5% stamp duty. Costs me £315k £300k house has gone up by 8% though so now costs me £324k. How much have I saved? Buyer loses 9k HNRC loses £15k Seller gains £24k

    Stamp Duty

Relatively yes. If you removed VAT completely does that subsidise goods?

    Stamp Duty

You think it wouldn’t be moving without being subsidised? Do you think it was furloughed staff taking advantage? I like many other have far more money as result of Covid limiting how I use my disposable income. It is people in similar situations buying homes for rent or helping children out. Natural market forces should be allowed to work. Tories just love giving away cash these days and moving house prices further away from youngsters.

Can you make a case for the principle of it?

Weight of droplets apparently hence why outdoor is so less risk.

    Stamp Duty

On a separate note house prices rose 20% or something last year. Why on earth was there a tax break in reducing stamp duty? Why the fuck do we care about house prices when tax receipts so massively down and we are in a pandemic? To keep the middle classes happy.

    Coronavirus

So whilst they publish numbers (55 Indian case in London) on specific variants why are they so reticent to tell us the effectiveness of vaccines? Just had doctor in BBC proclaim that Indian variant is resistant to vaccines. No transparency but you clearly will swallow whatever comes out of Boris’s mouth. Why not say of those 55 cases 45, 30, 0 had been vaccinated? Because they don’t trust us with the data whilst preaching constantly about the data.
  10. I wish we were more like the Israelis with Mossad. Should hunt down each of those Stephen Lawrence murderers down and take them out! One by one. Vile fucking scum. Although I am sure someone will be disputing any evidence it was racist attack and may have been an argument about bus timetable and one person happened to be black.
  11. I saw Saints issue a tweet about it which must have pleased Turkish. Jocks don’t make much of St Andrew’s day and Welsh St David’s. Many Irish have a bit of a persecution complex and huge emigration and are strong at retaining their heritage so ideal for them to have a day to celebrate. We ruled world so don’t feel same about such things.

Surprised it is still kicking around as all world had to do was stay in their gardens to get on top of it.

    Coronavirus

We had a November lockdown that didn’t seem to be hugely effective. Same with in January and weeks to have effect. So lockdown rule in winter didn’t exactly make rates plummet. Clearly vaccines would stop people who may otherwise contract and spread in lockdown wouldn’t when they are vaccinated.
  14. Amazing that they are not. Very little improvement and clearly got a good crop of youngsters. Occasional glimpses are relieving some pressure. Funny that Wenger delivered CL every year and fans assumed that was a given and why weren’t they pushing on.
  15. Fucking cash that out straight away! You will lose £20
  16. One thing about this Super League debacle it has made me want everyone but those 6 clubs to do well. Well always a bit like that but chuffed Leicester win yesterday and even hope Everton , who I hate, beat Arsenal

    Coronavirus

25 million had had their first dose when Boris made a point of claiming that it was lockdown not vaccines. Whilst not giving any evidence in terms of numbers of how many of those many millions were still contracting Covid and going to hospital. To accept what he said was folly. Of course lockdowns work but he made a point of saying it wasn’t the vaccines which is bunkum

    Coronavirus

Not arguing more they are scant with vaccination info as clearly don’t want complacency and actively put out misinformation and made point of saying it was lockdown not vaccines bringing rates down. All evidence now (and then if they dared share) would indicate the vaccines work. Which is my point
  19. Spot on. I think of Turkish being a little like Karl Pilkington - actually does make some good points and interest posts but more about entertainment. And then wants to double down/die in a ditch defending a facile point

Who knew? Sure this must blow the minds of all those Boris/Hancock sheep who believe every word.
  21. Point is there is racism over there like we can’t relate to and not a stretch that it extends into the police. I didn’t think Sheaf was dismissive either. also scally has form as a Qanon nut
  22. Genuine question, have you been to many parts of America? Mid south has some seriously entrenched racism from respectable, reasonable, kind ‘normal’ professional people. Been a while admittedly but I was shocked at attitudes you would rarely experience here other than coming across some right wing nut.
  23. Almost as amusing as the dog whistle to you to dismiss any occurrences of racism

I did wonder as knew had seen fans there recently. That was it
