oh well this thread did have a bit about finance at the start but shame I wont get the time back that spent reading last 2 pages of squabbling. I guess there must be history but from a neutral observer all looks a tad childish and peopel need to grow up. Although far too little of the Lawro slagging. He plunged new depths in Holland V Germany game with sneering miserable ramblings. Actually made me want to look up how to complain to BBC for first time in my life. anyone got a link?

Ok slightly passive aggressive there I admit and there isn't much else to discuss at the mo. But it is very much price tag related. If was identical gear (cut and material) but cost £10 in Primark you wouldn't touch it. And i do get what it is about and been there although posting links to sites and then the mutual backslapping and cringy namedropping of more 'exclusive' brands does seem a little ironic given that it is all pretty narcissicistic and about the look and standing out as 'cool'

Lets face it boys you're obsessed forum knobbers - none of you will ever be cool as you probably perceive you are. But harmless enough I suppose your showing off to the other geeks but dont get too delusional boasting about price tags.

is everyone shaving their pubes and getting their chest waxed for new season?

AOC was very impressive after the game talking to media and came across very well Theo is equally eloquent and level headed. Gareth Bale whilst slightly shyer is still very grounded and humble sounding. Credit to our academy system that we are producing fine young men unlike the primadonnas from Man Utd - Morrison, Pogba for example. Assume we haven't got lucky and along the lines of the Jesuit saying "Give me a child until he is seven and I will give you the man"

the problem is nowadays any old eshopper can get hold of gear. Back in the day (early 80s) it carried real prestige. Laying you hand on an exclusive Armani jumper, or Fila trackie top after traipsing to some exclusive outlet in Shepherds Bush was a real sign of class and determination to look good. Now any old bod can buy it and means nothing. Designer names were only good because of exclusivity that you stood out from a fattie on Shirley High St. Nowadays I find M & S is very comfortable

I just hope that Peter Reid is in the frame for someone. Added bonus that will not be a pundit anywhere either. He thought Downing was 22 FFS when giving insight into Norway v England game.

Strong rumours that Rodgers and Martinez will be Liverpool's and Villa's manager respectively soon If does happne Swansea and Wigan will struggle without and what with Reading that's the bottom 3 sorted;) lets push on to Europe

why has lallana closed his twitter account?

I once saw Shilts totally legless ushered into Taxis at 2am Saturday and then played ablinder the following afternoon so dont have too many concerns about some keyboard tapping. Woudl you rather they were on the Playstation? Quite interesting how resistant and judgemental to technology changes so many fans appear to be. If you enjoy it use it but so many don't get it so say it is pointless or full of morons as their way of justifying. Why not admit you are to old or thick;-) -

yeah down with the internet it will never catch on. Twitter is superb for giving accessibility into what the players are like and out does all the press hacks putting their slant on stories. Really sensed the Saints lads aon Twitter are a decent bunch and good feeling a round the club. Would never get that from the Echo -

Seems a poor reason to quit - Twitter is home of hateful abusers and seen far worse than that. And the guy and teh rumours getting far more attention then had he blocked him -

And why are we always last to issue any pricing!
-
I guess there must bea nother thread about general season ticket prices not just Wigan but here is some good info: http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2012/may/22/premier-league-ticket-prices-2012-13 and let's hope NC considers WBA pricing although sure he wont: http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2012/may/22/premier-league-clubs-season-tickets?INTCMP=ILCNETTXT3487

Does anyone know if Virgin allow you to do the football first red button thing yet? Only thing that would persuade me to go to Sky would be to be able to watch the complete away game Saturday evening. Cos TiVo wipes floor with Sky+ imo

The league always had competition in the past and gone are days when Ipswich, Villa, WBA, QPR etc could mount a serious challenge for the league. These rules wont reverse that but stopping the likes of City and Chelsea buying players like Bridge, Parker, Johnson, Santa Cruz etc from smaller clubs when they dont play them must be better for the game. Big clubs always will get the best players of course but at least intentions are there.

All we need is a Liebherr cranes sponsorship deal worth £200m
-
the club seems so healthy and so obvious it is full of genuine good humble guys. Mark Clemmit speaking to Billy Sharp in latest FL podcase was full of praise of teh togetherness of decent lads that he witnessed at Coventry game http://www.football-league.co.uk/page/Podcast - quite near the start

not that I agree but Boro rep here said we were the best 'Best fans Southampton – good party atmosphere and fancy dress' http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/football-league-blog/2012/may/01/championship-2011-12-bloggers-end-season-report surely question should have been hardest coollest looking fans who brought the least joy? mind the usual crap form a few about pompey being great fans - just nerds thoughts really. smurfs Hartlepool fans were all over twitter making people smile - how awful of them.

Any thicker than you with your 14yo kevin and perry speak? sure those guys are more fun than you

everyone seems to deny being a season ticket waver. who is doing it and why don't others kick their heads in?
