  1. That's what I said...
  2. GBP down by 3% after the Sunderland result.
  3. Result number five of 382... Sunderland Leave - 82,394 Remain - 51,930 Turnout: 65%
  4. Result number four of 382... Clackmannanshire Leave - 10,736 Remain - 14,691 Turnout: 67%
  5. Result number three of 382... Orkney Leave - 4,193 Remain - 7,189 Turnout: 76%
  6. Result number two of 382... Newcastle Leave - 63,598 Remain - 65,404 Turnout: 68%
  7. JWP had to Google who Ronald Koeman was and he's supposedly one of the more educated and scholarly types.
  8. Nigel Farage: "Ordinary folk have been subjected to so many threats. Well done to standing up to the establishment and the big boys. We may have lost the battle, but we are winning the war."
  9. Everyone was absolutely ****ing mortified when Adkins was replaced by Pochettino off the back of a 2-2 draw away at Chelsea. Let's just see how it goes.
  10. I must've missed their league winners medal and Champions League semi-finals. Must be a trolling effort.
  11. I don't necessarily think being a great footballer in your playing days means you're going to be a great coach to develop players. Probably helps in a lot of instances, though.
  12. Less of that sensibility around here, washsaint.
  13. That's pretty decent. More important that he matches our philosophies though, although it's clearly good that he's got a record of building sides that win games. (obviously...) Not who I would have picked but hey, I haven't been in on the talks and if he's who the club goes for I think they've earned the trust. Right behind him from day one, then!
  14. Well, he wouldn't have been my pick - but seeing as it seems to be him: good luck, welcome and I'm right behind him. Some recommended reading for all Saints fans: http://www.getfootballnewsfrance.com/2016/ogc-nice-the-alternative-football-success-story/
  15. Official Statement: http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/news/article/2016-17/20160624-victor-wanyama-announcement-southampton-tottenham-hotspur-3150951.aspx
  16. Didn't Crab Lungs call for Marco Silva? He'll be pleased! A bit different to Pellegrini...
  17. Pereira's never managed more than one season at every club, and has always had the biggest club or the club with the most resources. Silva is younger, worked miracles with Estoril and then did very well with Sporting before going to Olympiakos and bettering Pereira's record by some distance.
  18. Marco Silva actually sounds quite interesting after reading about him. More so than Puel has at any stage, although I admit that I could be totally wrong on him.
  19. Telegraph update: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2016/06/23/manuel-pellegrini-latest-potential-southampton-manager-to-drop-o/ - Saints seriously looked into Pellegrini - Don't think he suits our player development orientated approach - Not quite the right fit for us on the training ground - Puel and Pereira are candidates - Klinsmann was never even on any shortlist or under consideration - Wanyama sale is imminent - Redmond arrival is imminent - Saints hope to have a new manager by the 28th still
  20. You're preaching to the choir, FM. And yes, quite right. Adam Leitch - as much as my laptop wants to always autocorrect his name to Leith.
  21. That's quite interesting. Another of his tweets says he offered his resignation because he's talking to a club in England. It's either us or Forest... Greek media seem to think it's us.
  22. Interesting that Adam Leith nor the others decided to stick a byline on that. I'd be stunned if this is true, I'm near certain he's not a serious candidate.
  23. If they take a few days longer and we end up with Pellegrini then I doubt there'll be any serious complaints.
  24. Alternatively the thread title could be: "Leicester pay player who is over 30 in six months' time and has only ever had one good season in excess of £100k per week"
