It's Forster all over again. Celtic's qualification ended on the Tuesday and on the Thursday he was on the Saints website. -

Stephen Pickering has contacts at Derby County, from what I remember. -
I agree we've gone for padding the squad and investing in potential rather than overhauling the starting eleven, although I'm not sure that was needed. We've certainly improved our 'options'. I take your point though. Cédric is the only (possible) upgrade. Stekelenburg > Forster, too, if you subscribe to the views of some on here.

Post-Match Reaction: SAINTS 1-1 FC Midtjylland
Saint-Armstrong replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Really? I thought we created a fair few chances, but didn't get enough behind the shots if anything. Wet pitch didn't help, but both teams had to play on it. Defensively, I thought we were pretty good - Caulker especially. Just didn't find the back of the net enough. -
Jay Rodriguez with his first competitive goal since March 2014. Thoughts? Hmmm. At least it's not 0-1. Much better in the second half. We're going to have to score in Denmark. They came to play the averages and the odds, and do a job on us. Fair play to them, they did just that. Very organised team, but definitely beatable if we step it up a gear. On to Watford now...

Dortmund are 3-0 down to Odd, in Norway, after 22 minutes. -
Yep, interview on BT with Ronald, in which he said that the discussion is not about money. It is not about what the offer is, the player isn't for sale because he's important.

The Times also saying that Hull City (as well as Derby) want to take him on loan. -
Wouldn't bother me at all. A ridiculous name like 'Cash Converters @ St. Mary's' would be a bit irritating, but I don't think the club would go in for that. It'll always be St. Mary's anyway, so if a company wants to pay to put their logo on the front (a la Flybe), or stick their name in the seats - I wouldn't be bothered.
-
Errrr, I'm not promoting Saints. I'm just sharing a video that posters - like Asaint4ever - might not have seen. It was released before kick-off.
-
In case it was missed in the build-up to the game.
-
Too right, they should've just locked them up and refused to let them go... even the one we didn't own.

Saints to warm up in training shirts with 'Thank You Markus' on.

It'll be interesting to see who the new shirt sponsors are. We had aap3 which made sense in the lower divisions, and they did very well from it. Then the whole Lotus debacle (was it, wasn't it). Then the breakdown in relations with the Mercedes dealership who became our 'Official Vehicle Partner' or whatever it was. Veho have been pretty good in terms of engagement but if those figures are accurate (I don't know for sure) then we need to move on up.

Just this season.
-
It'll be interesting when the new kit-maker comes in - which should give us something more bespoke - and the shirt sponsor changes.
