  1. We need 5 in my opinion (GK, LB, 2 x CB, ST), but I fear we will struggle to get more than 2 more. Its simply taking far too long... Our back 5 is going to look distinctly threadbare come mid-August..
  2. Amusing the hypocrisy in football. We've squeally and squinnied like f**k when Liverpool did this to us.
  3. B*ll*cks. Cork is more than capable of taking over.
  4. No its not, provided we make good on our losses + J-Rod out until Xmas. Currently that is 2 for 3/4, but if Lovren goes we are looking incredibly weak in the back 5. I dont see possibly needing to replace Morgan as urgent, and I agree that replacing Pochettino with Koeman may well turn out to be a case of losing a penny and finding a pound. Really think we need an addtional GK, CB and ST mid-term though..
  5. This, but with an immediate CB requirement as well; Lovren leaving means a second is needed. I dont see replacing Morgan as urgent, perhaps even necessary at all.
  6. Yep. Our perennial CB problem has well-and-truly returned; at this rate Jos and Yos will be lining up against Rickie and Judas on 17 Aug.
  7. Hardly. Note the FA have made him some sort of "special ambassador" aka has access to the squad and training camps to do the Theiving Scouse Tw*t's bidding.
  8. Hi poker stakes, that, but I do agree. The club has to take a stand against this trend at some point.
  9. Yep, anti-England in its current form. And I wasnt furious about England going out. I am furious that the set-up causes England to go out. It may be a utopia what I want, but I dont see a problem with striving for it; anything is better than the current state of affairs.
  10. Yep. But I want all the bullsh*t cleared out. Sorry if it is naiive or old-fashioned, but other nations, like the Germans, manage it.
  11. I have no problem supporting an England set-up and squad if it is brought together, organised, managed and operates with a phillosophy based on playing the best players available (no clique) to achieve the best results possible with no commerical agenda.
  12. *puts hand up* I know the answer. Let that clique of 5 teams f**k off and join a Euro League. It wont stop the exodus, but it will allow us to be competitive against the remaining teams with what we have left. It might even allow the England team to improve, because English players will get playing time; the foreigners will all be gone.
  13. In which case I hope our fans give Hodgson a warm welcome...
  14. You sure ? It leaves our squad open to being pillaged by the big 6. So we would be rebuilding again. F**k the England set-up. F**k Platini and his dopey FFP rules.
  15. If we are destined to lose Morgan, would be very happy to see Arsenal gazump Spurs.
  16. I dont know how anyone else is currently, but I am on a very low ebb at the moment. The second wave of the exodus is about to start, and I was kind of hoping Koeman might sold a vision that would have headed off any more departures. Would have thought a ex-world class defender could influence a CB and a DM. Furthermore it is very, very quiet about incomings..... The fact that yet nother one of our players will be facing us on 17 August just makes matters even worse. Its painful wathcing our club getting trashed and looted....
  17. I agree, but we were definitiely light in the striker department following J-Rods injury, and dependent on Boruc not throwing a fit. And with Morgan and Lovren still looking likely to go, our Transfer Committee (Mk. 2) shouldnt be resting on its laurels.
  18. Bit unfair on Rickie, that..
  19. Considering we have so many gaps in the squad to fill, potentially even more, I think it has gone worryingly quiet...
  20. Nope. I think teachers are a bunch of arrogant, patronising Trotskyite w**nkers, of whatever nationality........ EDIT: I forgot lazy.
  21. I for one dont understand why so much oppobrium is directed at Gove. You might not have liked the direction he was taking education (but who is to say it is going to change under the new face ?), but in my opinion he was one of the few ministers in this cluster-f**k of a coallition government that actually believed in something and was doing what he felt was genuinely for the best, rather than having one eye on his career and the other over his shoulder.
  22. I love this thread. It eclipses any thread I've created in the stupidity and OP stubborness stakes.
  23. Would be nice to see LB replacement and another striker addressed in the next few days; then we can at least we can argue we are at the same stength as just before J-Rod got injured.
