Lovren's latest comments mark the final end of the dream for me. We are officially on our way back to (hopefully) mid-table mediocrity. Our 15 year journey through the echelons of English football has completed its circle. We've even got the medicore stripes back..

Everyone in football thinks we are going to be sitting on a transfer war chest of 100m + this summer. Its hardly surprising that every club and player we wish to do business with is going to hold out for every single damn cent they can get. And as this thread suggests, fans and club alike are going to get ever more desperate so the club will be agreeing to the other clubs valuation more and more often. As a few people have said on here, its far better to hold on to the quality players you have exactly because their quality is known.... As Spurs showed last season, money in the bank means jack sh*t...

Doesnt look too bad, bit disappointed the club has giving in to the stripe whining, however. Would rather have a good team in a red kit, if given a choice. No doubt going back to the stripes gave the club another opportuinty to pop at NC. My main concern however, being superstitious, is that this kit looks almost identical to our 2005 PL relegation kit........

Doesnt sound like hes coming to us, then.... This will just highlight that it takes more than money to replace our first team...

Two points. 1. Lets see some of these moves start to crystallise before we get excited 2. Lets hope he and his backroom team are capable of the necessary integration and (yuk) gelling before the season gets into full swing...

It may well prove fruitless, but I think its a course the club should take nevertheless. This whole sordid situation needs to brought under scrutiny. BTW, Lovren may be easier to prove since there has been not "England Training Camp" cover..

I would like to know when SFC are going to make a formal complaint to the FA / PL about Liverpool's conduct. I get the impression there is some sort of "coaching" going on about how to break the clubs will. I really hope we keep blocking Liverpool and sell him abroad.
