Why are appointing such people to our board ? Anyway, its an issue of perception and interpretation as much as anything. To me it opened the door for other clubs that had been slammed firmly shut by NC.

I have this vision of "special excuses" being made for each player departure over the summer. No. They are Saints players. They are contracted to us. The board is employed to protect to the best of their ability the interests of SFC, not pander to childhood dreams He was perfectly happy at Saints until today.

Yes, you can resort to the "facts" argument, but if you cannot see the weight of momentum building behind a mass exodus and recongise that the last 5 years really is over and we have a leadership with a different (or no) vision, then it is difficult to make progress in this discussion. Anyway, how can we sensibly discuss replacements if you remain unconvinced we need them because of the "facts" ?

Seriously, I wish all those loyal Saints fans who have stumped up so much money (significantly more than last year) enjoy the season as it unfolds at SMS.

SFC on paper would still have a lot going for it if we sold out star players and brought in 50M. We have a PL place, future years TV money (or parachute payments), a decent ground, decent training facilities, a reputation for youth players and the Academy. I personally think her people have done the math, and have decided if they wrap things up quickly before it looks like relegation beckons, they can get more by asset-stripping.

Knowing full well a p*ssing contest would commence because everyone is such an Über fan that they'd turn out to see 11 old codgers in a Saints kit..

The club is being liquidated. Isnt obvious ? Ralfie has been brought in to string along the fans until the board and KL have squeezed as much money out of the club as they can, knowing full well the ground, Academy, training facilities and especially our PL spot can still be sold as a going concern.
