  1. It is, but who cares ?
  2. Shared by a lot of fans and neutral observers, whereas some of you have an anti-Cortese agenda. Scant thanks for the man who returned us to the big time from -10 points in L1, and without whom we are probably destined to return to L1 eventually.
  3. Yep, I agree with the article too. Oh, and MoPo hasnt woken up a millionaire. There will certainly be a break cause in his contract - this is Levy we are talking about.
  4. Spurs arent going to tell the truth about that, imo. But if it is true, thats the biggest blunder so far, in what is rapidly becoming a long and distinguished list.......
  5. I am not saying he would not have had to sell at all to push on with new players, as probably would have been stipulated by KL. But I reckon he would have kept MoPo on side and involved in the decisions. A huge difference.
  6. Yes quite, Jeffie. Can we get hysterical now what you said wouldnt happen actually has ? Please ?
  7. Depends on what players we are left with..........
  8. Quite simple. He's made his mistakes. But he was a leader with a vision, and a strong will. The current rabble represent a leadership vacuum. They are going to make sh*t loads more mistakes, includng telling the world we have financial difficulties as an opening gambit. If he were still here, I reckon he would have managed to keep MoPo and the players happy, and he would have had the balls to get rid of Osvaldo and Gashton this summer.
  9. Noope. I basically said she supported her CEO in the signing of Gashton and Osvaldo, they were colossal f**k-ups, she has closed her purse because the faith in his decisions was lost, he concluded a glass ceiling had been hit and quit, and the result was the manager who he brought in and has a strong personal relationship with him has gone at the earliest possible moment of convenience. There, its not rocket science. Hope you understand now. If you wish to continmue discussing, drop the personal abuse. Love the avatar, btw. Never had you down as a clappy.
  10. Because the evidence of my own eyes doesnt support it. Besides, if you now say Cork hasnt had a contract offer because the board werent sure who was going to be manager, then that is even worse; they've known about this for a while (and not been played) and have done nothing, least of which is a short list of replacements so that the transition and uncertainty is as short as possible and our chances of keeping players increased.
  11. Obviously pointless dicussing with you; your first question is garbage even by your standards, and you clearly are prejudiced by an intense hatred of Cortese. The personal abuse is simply the icing on the cake.
  12. I would argue that KL has attached blame. Thats why the club has lot its CEO and manager. That was my point. She hasnt sacked them, she's just closed her purse. I've never used that excuse, btw.
  13. For all those saying "the board couldnt do anything - he wanted to go": can you explain Cork having no new contract offer, and the players complaining about lack of communication ? Why is it so hard for you to consider that we have a weak ineffectual, clueless board ?
  14. How do you know that MoPos doubts didnt start with NC indicating his intention to leave in October ? Maybe it was a personal thing, and both sides felt back when he joined a longer contract wasnt needed.
  15. Respect needs to be earned. He hasnt earned it. He's taken over 5m out of the clubs rapidly diminshing kitty for f**k-all return. I get called a lot worse on here, to be fair.
  16. If we are now reisgned to losing Shaw and Lallana, we'd better get resigned to losing a lot more. Lovren, Morgen, Chambers...who knows where the list will end ? Why should any of them stay when the manager is gone, the team dismantled, they are not being kept informed by the board (FFS, they cant even offer Cork a new contract), and one of the big 6 comes knocking ? Our squad is going to look a lot different come August. Bet we're still stuck with Osvaldo and Gashton though.......
  17. They smell blood in the water. Just like the rest of the English football community. Feeding frenzy ahead. However, if our much excused "what can they do if his head has been turned?" board didnt get a clause inserted into the agreement preventing Spurs going back for our players for at least 1 year as Hoddle did for Dean Richards, they really are grade "A" numpties and I fear for the future of our club with them at the helm.
  18. The bloke is a star, Saints through and through (conveniently forgetting the fact he also nearly joined Spurs for a minute....)
  19. I dont have a favourite - yet. But I am thinking David Moyes will be feeling he has a point to prove.
  20. A quick appointment is necessary in order to save as many of our first XI as possible. He needs to be up-and-running with some plans by the time our international players get back from Rio, in my opinion.
  21. A good post, but the key to a short recovery time is making the right appointment - quickly. I for one have no faith in the SFC board being capable of doing so.
  22. Racism my arse. I am guessing it was the expenditure on both with little return that got KL looking closer at NCs spending and future spending plans.
  23. 20 teams in the PL. 1 in 19 chance of getting Spurs first game.
