  1. He is the only choice at this stage, imo. I become more convinced of it with the passing minutes.
  2. My hope for goals, under a new manager, rests largely with Gabbi.
  3. A well-run club identifies mistakes and corrects them a timely manner to prevent damage to the business. Yes, today (with hindsight...) the club has taken action. The jury is out on the timely manner part. And as someone who clearly has a talent for identifying cretins (I guess there is at leas one mirror in your home), you tell me if it is deliberate.
  4. I'd keep Kelvin in the organisation, definitely. But not running the show
  5. As long as we are prepared to accept relegation in the short term.
  6. Yep. His time is coming to an end. Made the worst mistake he could by believeing his own hype.
  7. I guess now that the board have finally done something, we can conclude the answer is no, and its just arrogance and incompetence that it took so long.
  8. The more I think about it, the more I think Hughes can be the only serious contender to come in quickly and make the changes in attitude required. My concerns lay with whether our squad is physical enough for his brand of football.
  9. If the club staying up is the most important issue and not the development strategy, I expect Freddie and Les to make the appointment and go completely f**king hands-off. They've made a woefully late decision, the worst thing they can do now is get in the way of the firestorm that person needs to blast through the dressing room.
  10. We need Harry Potter, not Graham Potter.
  11. Is Big Dunc still hanging around the Everton set-up ?
  12. There is clearly 2 distinct approaches to this appointment : 1. The right person to rebuild and take the club forward with the original strategic vision. If relegation now occurs, its down to the past decisions to give MoPe more time, and must be accepted as part of the rebuilding. 2. Someone to keep the team up. This could be just for the last 8-10 games. However, if successful it seems unlikely that such an appointment wouldnt be given another season to see what impact he can bring with this group of players, who cannot be simply all shifted out in one go. I reckon it will be 1). and I am frightened in the cold light of day it will just be another cheap, already available Les "yes man". We need a motivator and an ass-kicker, number 2). I doubt anyone better than Hughes could be found with such short notice.
  13. That team against BHA at home was a sackable offence. As was dropping Sims at the weekend.
  14. Except you forget Les's less-than-inspiring success in the transfer department. Personally, I think its the truth, which is why Les should be the next out the door.
  15. Pulled no punches whatsoever. Damning.
  16. Probably too late. But "no chance" has become a small chance...
  17. That is brilliant.
  18. Yep, this. Having spent 210million quid on a failing business is a bigger disgrace in every culture than sacking someone incompetent at his job.
  19. Couldnt give a sh*t if you're persuaded or not...
  20. Yep. I am shocked looking back at how most fans just shrugged their shoulders at that result.
  21. I made this point a few weeks ago. Compared to this rabble, Rupert Lowe was clawing, kicking and screaming all the way to the Championship.
  22. Not immediately. Fat Kat put the last tick in the box first. She got us back to the PL and in her mind re-established us as a permanent fixture. I got upset with all the sales, but the alarm bells really rung when Pele and Mane were not replaced.
  23. Will be fantastic if the biased c**t get fired.
