  1. Yes, and the LB situation will need clearing up too. Ramirez and Osvaldo as well. My trust in Gashy delivering consistently has gone; he's only making an effort now because the WC is coming up and he wants a good move over the summer.
  2. Classic Saints. Great performance, try to throw it away and break the fans hearts in the process. Thank heavens the script got lost. A great win. Chuffed for our boys in with a shout for Rio, and for Sam Gallagher.
  3. Yep. NC has added massive value to the club. Story has it is ML paid ca. 15m, and the press talk about the club value being ca. 150m. That represents a ten-fold increase in club value, and no way has the club spent that much, even including Osvaldo and Gashy (whom we we will get a fair chunk back on during the summer. Hopefully.) That makes NC a good businessman, in my book.
  4. Ah, wondered how long that cliche would take to be played. The player didnt surprise me though... Its just like the Sweaties using Thatcher and the Poll Tax as an excuse for independence; the best argument they've got is over 20 years old and sod all the bribing thats come since...
  5. I think you are just arguing for the sake of it. You dont know how many knock-backs he delivered, and he kept a squad largely together that brought us from low-down in L1 up to the EPL. The very fact it was only one player is the very reason I value the job he did on this front so much. You are being naiive if you really think we were only in dange of losing him during that time.
  6. Yawn. Personal abuse. Brilliant
  7. The only player I recall that we have sold that would have centrally featured in out plans is A-OC, and Arsenal have been licking their wounds over how much it cost them for years, hence all the articles in the summer criticising Wenger for not diving into the transfer market *****il he bought Özil)
  8. You seem to have a penchant for eccentric old men with wispy white hair, if your avatar is anything to go by...
  9. Fair comment, I just think in the respect of inter-club negotiations about our players, NC will be a tough act to follow, and that act is eessential this summer if we wish to continue to make progress.
  10. Umm, have to say I like this though. Sensible use of substitutions is something our Mauricio isnt so hot at.
  11. Michael Foot ? Now he really was a lunatic (as well as allegedly being a KGB lackey)
  12. Cool. Clive Woodward Mk2 here we come........... Especially like 6). Are we going to get organ music when we score ?
  13. Dont understand why he hasnt got a chance this season. Looked promising during the Villach friendlies.
  14. And does he have the business experience ? My main concern is how he will fend off big clubs over the summer. With NC we knew he would squeeze their balls dry. Hes not going to be coaching the team, so not sure the relevance of the sporting experience comment.
  15. One can only hope. He really is loathsome. He really loves the attention.
  16. How exactly is this dude qualified/experienced to run our club ?
  17. The councils over the years and the local businesses may well have let Southampton down badly since the post-war period (I could argue the employees in the docks also let the city down), but fact of the matter is that Liverpool have been handed an uneven playing field with this decision. Southampton Ocean Terminal has been built and improved with private finance, and Liverpool was given a public handout to fit with the self-entitled scroungers and theives that live there. I am still angry about how ship-building in Hampshire was thrown to the wolves in order to bribe a few voters in Arthur Blackpudding land in the 80s and Sweaty Sock land this year.
  18. The crusty old c**t never fitted or properly aligned with any political affiliation, in my opinion; he followed the causes that fitted with his personal beliefs. For that, he has a lot more respect from me than that pr*ck Crowe. The only slight issue I had with Benn was that whenever he was debating on TV he came across as smug and patronising, like he had an arrogant unshakeable belief he was always right, but in fairness it was a minor irritation.
  19. Ooo, this a tough one. Not while I have kids, but have trouble thinking I am really through with the city. Could deffo imagine living in the NF or East Dorset.
  20. Heard he's good from corners..

  22. The Airbus 330 that went down coming back from S. America did so over a very deep part of the Atlantic. I thought the S. China Sea wasnt so deep.
