IMO we have a goalscoring problem. Its all down to whether Rickie is up for it and if J-Rod gets on. IMO Osvaldo is going the same way as The Gash. Did he even create anything yesterday when he came on?

I said before the season started he is one to watch for and we should have had a look at him. As with many other Austrians who go to play abroad, he has a massive, massive attitude problem however. Has played sh*te for the national team since signing for Stoke.

Hmm. Hype finally got to the players heads ?
-
'Cos he's a tw*t taking licence-payers money to bad-mouth us ?

I tend to see you as a kindred spirit, Turks, but you really do have some mong-tastic moments.

I cannot believe what a c**t he is.

I am busy awaiting Sunderland, that bastion of formidable top-quality football that would make the back-room at Bayern Munich green with envy, next Wednesday when the flat-track bully comes out, makes a couple of nice touches, scores a pretty goal, and this place becomes the internet equivalent of a bukkake victim......

Welcome to the Party, pal... To answer the original OP, if we keep that team together (even Boruc is not necessarily over the hill as a GK at 38 ), and it keeps developing at its current rate, plus three or four juidicious additions via transfer or the Academy, we could be a dominant force in European football. Seriously.

Kind of proves my point. Thumping mediocre teams in qualification is one thing, putting it together in 8 games over 4 weeks is another. Netherlands have as equally an impressive record in this qualifiying campaign, and pedigree for reaching the final, and are unseeded. Placing Belgium and Switzerland before Italy and Netherlands is a f**king joke.

If you are referring to me, I gave generally positive feedback about every player except Mayuka and The Gash. -

I'll remember this comment the next time NickG posts his perennial "How DARE you forget where we were 3 years ago" thread.... -

As I said on the other thread, Gash has had 16months and over 4million quid more. Its far too early to tar Captain Jack Sparrow with the same brush. -

Who can we least afford to lose with a bad injury?
alpine_saint replied to TopGun's topic in The Saints
This thread illustrates everything wrong with this site. I express my opinion, without rancour, that I think Lovren would be the greatest loss due to our history of struggle at CB, and think we would get by somehow at GK, and I am hounded for not agreeing with the rest. Superb. -

And if Kelvin suddenly decides to move onto the coaching staff ? -
Who can we least afford to lose with a bad injury?

Well, if we really do have three other keepers (struggling to recall other than Gazza and Kelvin), we have someone to stand in. Lovren is irreplaceable, imo. -

Lovren; we could get another GK in on emergency loan if we needed. We've been looking for Lovren since Killer couldnt make it back.
