  1. One reason - Roy Hodgson
  2. I am chuffed to bits with how its going. Who would have thought it at Xmas. I dont care if this is due to MP or NA, its just great its happening. With a bit of juidicious transfer activity and pre-season training, we can be a real force looking for a top 6 finish next season.
  3. I not known what to say. We've carried on winning, we carried on across an international break, everything is as I would wish it to be. There is a limited number of way to express ones satisfaction/delight. I just hope we do pre-season and the transfer window the right way - for once...
  4. You're forgetting that he isnt just getting games like Saints vs Reading wrong. He's getting games like Saints vs Liverpool and Saints vs Chelsea wrong. He goes with reputation, and maybe occasionaly table position. Lazy tw*t of a pundit.
  5. In fairness to the tw*t, hes identified the top 6 correctly. He just hasnt got a clue about the rest of the table. What this tells me is that he is very aware of the football being played at the big clubs, but is totally clueless about the football being played at the rest of the clubs. Conclusion : A lazy pundit, heavily reliant on club reputation rather than realaities. The punditing equivalent of Roy Hodgson. The sort of people runining football and have always been ruining football.
  6. Yes, what rapier-like wit J9 exhibits...
  7. Yes. He has massively increased the value of their asset.
  8. Christ, he really hates us with a passion. He always reckoned we'd be OK ? According to his running aggregate League table, he reckoned we'd be 18th. He's an utter bastard. He used to tip us for relegation every season last time around.
  9. Good to see today that the magnitude of the problem is beginning to sink in with the national papers, and the criticism is ramping up nicely.
  10. His Liverpool career and that goal are undeniable. But he dined out on both for far too long; playing injured against Germany in Italia 90 and going off injured after 20mins having done nothing was the final straw, imo.
  11. Norwich. Three reasons : Robert Fleck Ruel Fox Grant Holt
  12. Cant believe the easy ride England and Woy get in the papers today. I'm guessing they've stopped caring too.
  13. Why cant some of you distinguish between England / English football and the current England set-up ? I am hoping failure to qualify for Rio might lead to a serious f**king clean-out of the England set-up, and the retirement of the likes of Lampard and Rooney.
  14. We havent beaten one of the reasonable quality teams we have played in this campaign. Why are we suddenly going to be beat them at home ? Do you want to discuss this sensibly, or continue with a silly patrnoising tone ? It may be an emotional response, but its backed up by some cold, hard facts. England under Woy are sh*te.
  15. How in the cold light of day tomorrow, is this going to look any better ?
  16. If I am clouded by cynicism, what does that make the selection policy of England managers ?
  17. My #1 would have been John Barnes
  18. My grandma would do better. At least the know they get a handbag round the lughole at half time. To answer your question, yes, 'Arry would do better. I dont care about the England team because of Woy, his predecessors, the FA, the Beckham circus and the Golden (ha, ha) Generation. I would love England to sit on top of the world in football. I am sick to death of seeing the same old players selected because of who they are and who they play for, totally ignoring in-form alternatives.
  19. It really is time for W*nker Woy, the most clueless and uninspiring England manager since Graeme Taylor, to collect his chips..
  20. NAs dismissal is SO going to come back and bite us on the arse now.....
  21. NC should write into his contract that his air-headed blow-up doll of a girlfriend isnt allowed within 1 light year of SMS.
  22. DM saying this morning that Poyet has turned Reading down to see his project to get Brighton into the PL through to its conclusion. I know we dont like him, but respect to him for his loyalty and integrity. Also saying that NA doesnt seem to enthusiastic about the job. Wherever he ends up, I hope he will be successful and happy.
  23. Do you recall the huge amount of abuse that those of us who said otherwise received ??? I lost money as a shareholder of SLH. Only time in my life I have been delighted by losing money.
  24. More codswallop from you. Britannic was never based in Soton as it was requesitioned as a WWI hospital ship immediately after trials and sank off the coast of Greece less than a year later, and Olympic spent most of her time either colliding with other ships or being repaired after such collisions. In fact, Olympics longest duration of crossing the Atlantic was to Liverpool or Glasgow, not Southampton.
