Have we given up on fonte and hoos on this forum

Its my intuition. I would be harassing my son non-stop if he were in Seabornes shoes. -

Great news. A CB at last, and by all accounts a decent one too. -

33 hours to go and still no CBs signed.... -

Hooiveld, no. Fonte was at times out of his depth last season, and so far this season looks incredibly dodgy. Imo Seaborne shouldnt even be playing pro football anymore after such a severe head injury. As has been said, we need 2 CBs urgently. -
I would be very happy with that.

Ok, fair enough. Hypo says you've mentioned it in the past unconnected to my comment, so I'll accept that. Still doesnt mean you can definitively say no-one in the sports news editorial team isnt on a cut. But it was a rhetorical question, so yes, the rumour-mongering is more likely just down to lazy p*ss-poor sensationalist journalism synonimous with Murdoch organisations.

Firstly, I think you are on a wind-up. I could say I am an agent and I've done it and you would be none the wiser. Secondly, assuming for one moment that you are not, unless you are the sports news editor or the channel CEO I find it highly unlikely that you would be privvy to such information anyway. Theres not really anyway for me to determine one way or the other, so lets just leave it that I dont really believe you. EDIT: Oh, if you do, how do you defend/justify reporting such sh*t-stirring reactionary drivel ?
-
Your lack of self-control, perhaps ? Yes, yes, the window isnt closed yet, but I for one think there is too much business left to do for 72 hours for us to say at the end we have addressed the weak points of the team. I am a fan of buidling from the back, which in fairness is what Pardew tried to do to some degree, and I think this hasnt been done.

Emmanuel Mayuka - Officially Signed on OS - Work Permit Confirmed

Yes, perhaps. But 8-10 years is a long time to keep doing your thing in football. A long time to fight to keep hold of PL status. -
How do you know ?

Me neither. But somehow this disbars you from expressing your opinion about the apparent balance of the whole squad, though.... -

Yep. Not long to go before we know either way though. At the moment it feels like we have Kevin Keegan in charge though. -

It troubles me in each case, but imo Sharp has a role to play and hasnt done much wrong, whereas Fonte and Fox were making mistakes last season already, so one could argue they've had their time to pull their socks up. You've never heard a bad word from me about Hooiveld. -

Its called loyalty, Saint_clark. Is there no place for it anymore ??? -

"evolution" infers the passage of time. Billy only got here a few months ago. I am troubled that we got him in so recently and now some people see him as history. Have we already become so fickle as Man City and Chelsea fans ? -

Are you forgetting about the squad limit ? Which forward are you happy to see the back of in order to accommodate him plus the absolutely necessary defenders that MUST be in the pipeline for the next 72 hours ? -

All these posters willing to discard Billy Sharp to one side just because The Next Best Thing has arrived should be ashamed. What happened to loyalty to players who make big contributions to the teams success ? I am seriously troubled by my opinion that Fonte cannot cut it for us in the PL, because he made such a contribution 2 years ago... -
Maybe they get a cut...........

Good post. Maybe you wont get so screamed at for saying something similar to me. -
Maybe Rickie is on his way, considering we've now bought 2 strikers this summer.

I thought Sharp had a big role to play this season - seems I was mistaken.
