  1. Only its not an urban myth, Frank. The Brits on holiday have all been up to the wee hours filling up on booze and are never to be seen before very late morning after their full English. So, the Germans get up at 6am, put on their kinky tight Spandex cycling costumes, creep down to the pool and lay out their towels, go and do their half Tour De France, come back breakfast, rest up until late morning / early afternoon, safe in the knowledge that they've beaten the stupid British to the loungers. The towel on the lounger isnt even the worse stunt the Germans pull. I've hear about how they build sand walls around their beach loungers to demark their "territory" on the beach...
  2. Why are you the biggest troll on this site ?
  3. But the people now willing to wait until 2359 on August 31st THEN are willing to wait even further for loans, or even the January window, rather than be bold and ambitious, are in many cases the very same people expecting promotion since our great starting run up until October last year, therefore plenty of forewarning about squad quality improvement. Quite ironic really...
  4. Yep, we've been heading to the PL since, well, ooooo, October last year....
  5. In complete agreement with you, and it feels very strange.
  6. And this is the crux of it. Either NC has suddenly engaged David Copperfield to conduct our CB negotiations or there arent any.
  7. I kept my counsel over our transfer activity most of this summer, unlike summers past when I would post about "hitting the ground running". I thought with the Olympics and Euro 2012 and their apparent MASSIVE impact on transfer activity I would go-with-the-flow a bit and see to which shores our transfer activity would take us. Here we are, 9 days to go, and we're up Sh*t Creek Without A Paddle, thats where, with an almost as-weak central defensive line-up as we had with Georgio Burlinho in 2007. And now I've concluded our left-back is utterly w*nk too. Look, if in May 2013 we get relegated having fought tooth-and-nail with a management who have reinforced the squad as much as they can, then c'est la vie. If we get relegated having not done enough to reinforce the squad because of clever-clever-d*ck behaviour in the transfer market a la Lowe 2005, then I'll be p*ssed.
  8. You are a lying bastard. I never said that. And it wasnt Day 2 either. Feel sorry for pathetic tw*ts like you that have to "embelish" their abuse. And you are unable to dismiss my "negative" comments, because the fact of the matter is at this moment we have conspicuously failed to strengthen the defence in the manner even NA said was necessary; its only blind faith assumptions and hubris from idiots like you that suggests we are on the verge of signing defenders. Face it, you cannot even point to any particularly strong rumours to support your moronic blind faith.
  9. Yeah, wow, I get abuse and I dare to respond in kind....
  10. After Sunday that is plain bonkers. Fox f**ks up every time the heat is on. He was responsible for at least one goal at SMS against Reading.
  11. Yes, the management team involved in two high-profile very public utter screw-ups is conducting two or three very smooth and secretive defensive transfers in private... Unfortunately, happy-clappies, this is the REAL world where you dont control the gob of the player or the selling club, and there is a strong track record of all of our activites going very public, successful or not. J-Rod was known for about 6 months, FFS.
  12. Bored with Ramirez. Extremely f**ked off that absolutely jack-sh*t appears to be going on about the CBs and LB.
  13. Plenty of transfer activity ongoing, sadly none of it at Saints.....
  14. This. Another day has passed with nothing happening. Only a few to go.
  15. Your faith is laudable, but if you cannot see that not only are deals going tits up, meaning time is short to identify new options, but also thanks to the Ramirez deal and the amounts of money that were quoted, we are going to have to pay through the nose for whoever we do identify (making it questionable that NC will close any of them), then you are being a bit silly.
  16. Doesnt matter who is available, at what price, we still conspire to screw transfers up. Disappointing summer of activity, have to say. And not enough to guarantee PL football next season...........
  17. As much as the reduction in number of hulls seriously bothers me, each one is now spending more time at sea with longer intervals between re-fits, which does offset the loss somewhat. I read somewhere the decommission date on the Type 23s has been put back because their condition is holding up better than expected. I also have my doubts that all 13 hulls will be replaced on a one-for-one basis as is intended, but if this does not happen the whole future of the RN is at risk - with what are those bloody great honking aircraft carriers going to be defended ? I noticed with curiosity that we are taking a long, long time to dispose of the four Type 22 Batch 3 ships, possibly the most capable frigates the RN has ever had (or will have); my suspicion is that these are going to be held in reserve for some time.
  18. The tone of these comments really depresses me. How many of our squad and management have prior PL experience ? Sod All. We made a bunch of arrogant complacent "superstars" panic for a few minutes. And managed to shut the mouths of their mouthy Manky fans. The spirit in the squad must be incredible, and now even higher. NA and NC now just need to add a little quality in the weak areas which must be so obvious to them if us morons can see them too. They dont need us to tell them Provided we do a bit more business before the window snaps shut, I am very optimistic. If we dont, then there is a question mark over the bus and the "plan"
  19. We are back where we were for 27 years, our place recklessly and egotistically thrown away by Lowe and his cronies. Yet I already hate the PL for the blatant bias of the media and the officials and its utter obsession with money. The previous 2 seasons were much more pure sporting spectacles, so whether we stay up amongst the elite in abject misery or go back down to be kings of a smaller hill, i couldnt care less. I am going to try to enjoy the game more as underdogs and worry less about the ramifications.
  20. Thanks for the link. Just watched and concluded that Webb is a prize c**t. From those highlights alone, he allowed them their first goal which was offside, and ignored two good penalty shouts for us.
  21. I disagree, I think some people (particulary Kraken) have gone out of their way to be negative about the performance. And personally, I think its quite pathetic how there seems to be a body of opinion that believes how well we do against Wigan in the second match of the season is some sort of metric by which we should predict the season of 38 games. If we lose to Wigan at home, we could easily get a surprise win at Anfield later in the season
  22. Are we going to get PL highlights on Saints Player ?
  23. I cant believe some of the comments on this thread. Seems some of our fans would have preferred a 5-0 butt-f**king. We just scared the living sh*t out of Premier League Champions, a team that didnt lose at home last season. There is stuff we need to work on, but Jesus, what a base to work from...
