BBC website finally admits we are premier league...

The decline of the BBC is symbolic of the decline of the nation, imo. Vacuous, dumbed-down, heavily biased, politically correct....... Forgive me for finding that upsetting... -
Why the Republic of Ireland love in by the media?

They just voted their sovereignty away via the EU treaty referendum, though. Reckon that their pysche needs to feel that they are always being put upon/opressed -

Goes further back than that for me. To the day the Sweaties smashed Wembley up. The Irish thing is just the latest sad chapter in the British Isles inferiority complex affliction... -

Yep. The insitution that takes 15mins to update a match score when Saints have scored, and an average of 0.452ns when West Ham score, and writes so much claptrap about matches you wonder if they were in the same ground as you. The BBC has persistently demonstrated in recent times that it is a petty, biased organisation in Politics; maybe the cancer has spread to the Sports Department too. -
Because you keep banging on about it, heavily-laced with innuendo that a lot of us wont like it (and in the process bring apparently much-needed attention on to yourself - try chucking wooden blocks about like my 2 year-old, much more guarantee of attention), its hardly suprising that some of us completely in the dark take your comments at face-value and react negatively.

Yeah, but you get the feeling from them that it is grudging acknowledgement. -
Why, are you exaggerating its sh*teness then ?

Why the Republic of Ireland love in by the media?

I feel sorry for the penis envy of all the other British Isles countires. I had a similar experience during France 98. Was watching England v Argentina in a town square in Austria. 2 rows of those heurige beer benches and tables so popular at places like the Munich Oktoberfest, both facing a big screen. There was a student medical games going on in town at the time so there were lots of nationalities around. The England fans set themselves down one side, and on the other side were the Argies. But about 15mins before the start a huge group of Sweaties turned up, painted Argentine flags on their faces, sat on the Argie side and went mental at the Argie goals and penalty win. Sad c**ts. -

That makes 3 of us then. -
thank fook.

you are really putting me off the new kit with your subtle little comments, do you know that ?

I agree with most of this. Cant make my mind up if Hart was unlucky with their goal or misjudged it a bit. Anyway, we knew it was coming. England often concede at the end of the first half, and they were sitting so far back inivting them to come on and attack us. The referee was one of the most biased c**ts I have seen in recent times. Cabaye should have been booked about 3 times but seemed to get away with it by putting on a sincere face and apologising, and AO-Cs booking was a joke (did he even make contact?). That ref loved to stick his chest out and show who was the boss; and Italian version of Uriah Rennie.

But the basic point remains that we will have got some of the J-Rod fee back by the end of this European Championship, either way...
-
Then thats me 150 quid up, and the club 150 quid down then., because that kit is f**king awful; it looks like a Forest or Liverpool retro kit.

Can anyone summarise in a couple of lines what the current status is ? Are they starting next season? I find the whole subject a little wearisome to wade through, tbh.

Currently planning a trip to Auschwitz with my 2 eldest. They are half-Brit and half-Austrian, and the oldest has started making a few comments he has picked up from school that I dont care for and I want to put my foot down on it.

Done by the same people that brought you the infamous three Chinese Government officials :
-
With all due respect to MOGGIE, that kit is f**king hideous.

Spoken like a true Socialist.

Ukraine is a sh*thole run by thugs. Nice that the England team are accessable to the loyal few making the trip, but I can think of nicer places to do this, like Brazil in 2 years time (if we get there...)

Well, it doesnt matter really if you are a fan of early activity or later activity in the transfer market; last year's approach definitely worked because we got promoted. BUT We didnt have the squad depth in December-January to deal with a form blip, and ultimately that cost us the title, despite leading it for so long this season. If we had maybe closed one or two deals earlier in the season, or perhaps earlier in the summer, I reckon the title would have been ours. But WTF, let the sneering bell-ends on this site have their little moment.
-
Best thing about this news for me is that NC and NA have done what I have been pleading for for years - set their stall out and signalled they want to hit the ground running by dipping into the transfer market early in the close season. Would like to see some defensive re-inforcement next; letting Martin go on loan has an ominous Fitz Hall vibe going for me...

Yes, my recollection is similar to this. There was a lot in the media about Sarko trying to exclude the British from the commemoration, but actually it was another example of Brown being an utter tw*t and giving the French the impression that Britain couldnt be bothered with it. Once the hoo-ha kicked off, Sarko made sure the British contribution to D-Day way correctly observed. But yes, the French have in general always had a problem with us being involved in their liberation. Very proud people, and centuries of fierce rivally with us. Imo, the French and the British are more alike than either side cares to admit.

There seems to be an old axiom about not buying better than you already have. For me, this fits the situation of Green and Kelvin perfectly.
