  1. Listening to it now. For me, he's just buried the concern.
  2. Easy to say this because it turned out OK. I would have preferred promotion to be won in a less masochistic way, but I'll concede it made for one helluva last day spectacle...
  3. This is going to be great, the LOTR feeling with this trailer is still there : Looking forward to Jackson finishing these off and getting back to the Dambusters remake.
  4. Despite them being neanderthals and lacking class, I still think they deserve to win the 3rd spot. They had us on the ropes when they tw*tted Brighton.
  5. The equallising penalty against Millwall away. The winner against Wham at home.
  6. Most of that goes over my head, but 6) - that was naughty.
  7. In terms of style or significance ?
  8. Ridiculous. I never joined in the Guly mobbing I never joined in the questioing of signing Billy Yes, I had a pop at Fonte over the past few weeks, but he deserved it. Yesterday he made up for it. And yes, I was occasionally concerned about Hammond, but thats about it. I suggest you look elsewhere for player negativity, though I can understand it goes with the cliche to blame me.
  9. How can we make a reasonable prediction of this until we know what the squad looks like ???
  10. I agree completely with everything you wrote, and it is a worthy discussion to have down the line when the after glow of yesterday has worn off. I just think for the sake of the players whose career at SFC is coming to an end, that it would have been diplomatic to let them enjoy their moment for a while before we write them off.
  11. Yeah, right; if I had started this thread, you would have all been jumping down my throat. Double standards...
  12. Within 24 hours of the successful conclusion of this promotion campaign and before the celebratory hangovers have even worn off ? Its pathetic. Personally, I feel sad that a few of the players who helped get us here will be making way for others. And I think such hasty discussion of this is untimely and the OP should feel guilty, especially as he is one of my sharpest critics about negativity and never being satisfied.
  13. Great post Bexy, sums up how I feel too.
  14. Its like the Star Wars saga from Phantom Menace through to Return of the Jedi. Saints are the Jedi.
  15. WTFILN Couldnt give a shiny one if they die.
  16. Whatever the acrimony because of his big mouth, they still deserve the 3rd spot.
  17. There is quite a hodge-podge on there, to be fair.
  18. Good Thread. Its certainly not been boring.
  19. Quite a few of the comments on the match report on the Mail Online are from Manyoo fans welcoming us back.
  20. Not even thinking about that yet.
  21. Answered all the critics today; turned it on when needed.
  22. Now that it is over, it is a remarkable achievement. Back-to-back promotions.
  23. Lovely words. Nothing to add. Completely share the sentiments.
  24. Me too. I couldnt watch. I couldnt listen. I occupied myself with DIY and my sons U8 football tournament. I've just logged in to get the news with my heart pounding out my chest and shaking hands. I am totally overcome with emotion. God I love and miss Southampton and Southampton Football Club. Well done to players, management and fans. And a big, big thankyou to Markus Liebherr. Hope you were watching today, big guy. And I hope my brother-in-law who passed on in his sleep on Sunday night was watching and enjoying it too.....
