Well, he gets a clean slate from me.

This smacks of desperation from the club. Are waving the white flag on transfer activity Nevertheless, it might turn out well if he is hungry and keeps his mouth shut. Could be like a new signing. Wonder if NA was consulted by NC?
-
How does he know it was Saints fans ? Did they leave a calling card ?
-
CoC ?

Whilst the comments made to him, attributed to a few Saints fans, are OTT and totally inexcusable, I have to agree with your sentiment. He cast the first stone....
-
This is f**king sick. How can any of these scenarios be allowed ? Everyone f**king knows they are insolvent...
-
Not really. I felt the need to rub it in. Hence me complementing VecitsSaint on his restraint.
-
Well you felt it necessary to aggressively dismiss it. Sounds like you took it seriously.
-
Including those who banged on about how their own fred-in-the-shed institutions working on shoestring budgets took 3 months to perform similar relocations, and that somehow this provided some sort of a benchmark.......... Btw, did you take the scarf comment seriously ? It was a flippant remark.
-
Explicitly ? Perhaps not. But they used that comment against those of us who said with all the support resources and support available to a professional footballer joining a high-profile affluent club, the activity was taking surprisingly long. And I cannot help the fact that some of you cannot filter the "****e" from the decent points, and take a comment at its merit. I dont see why we should all agree or make palateable comments all of the time.

Once in a while a business needs to take a risk if it is going to take a significant step forward. I think the time has come now for SFC. We can organically grow the squad slowly, knowing that we will be "thereabouts" at the end of each season, or we can be a bit bolder and sign a couple of quality players a bit above what normally our financial structure would tolerate, and improve our chances of making it to the next step with the financial rewards that come with it. We know that if we win promotion, this year or next, we are going to face a significant step function in wage demands and transfer fees. I do trust NC to judge the right time, I think, but from where I am looking having sat on the top of the table for 4 months and only in the last few days with a decimated squad having fallen to 2nd, the time is now. The poor form and loss of standing of the past 2 months can still be turned around with prompt and bold action.

Christ, every one of your posts contains the same 3 or 4 worn out statments nowadays..........

IF Pompey go bust ...this may happen..
alpine_saint replied to david in sweden's topic in The Saints
If a team goes out of business mid-season, what else can you do but change the table to make it appear they didnt take part (expunge the points) ? Its the only fair way, since all those teams that would play them after it happened would get 3-0 non-appearance results or 7-0 hammerings of a totally empty husk of a team. -

Wont happen. The FL and FA will bend their own rules to avoid it, although arguably they are aiding and abetting in breaking one of the most important laws of corporate business - trading whilst insolvent.. Our one hope lies in the resoluteness of HMRC. -
I hope you are referring to both the impatients, and those who dismissed them by writing "people from our company took 3 months to move from A to B", because the latter have been totally discredited too.

Reckon Verbal has met his comeuppance here. He's lost his air of superiority because hes found out that hes not the only one who reads and can refer to books. And his political dogma has made him lose all balance in his interpretations of what hes read and his posting..

Pretty magnanimous post from you there. My compliments.

This "tell them what they should do because you obviously think you know better" discussion/belittling tactic used to be funny, now its f**king tedious. The whole point of writing on this site is to give ones thoughts and opinions. Pedants like you even do it when someone writes that they think the manager has used to wrong line-up/formation/tactics.... If you dont like people giving their opinon on how to do things, eurosaint, TLS, you've come to the wrong place..

What does "soon" mean ? Today, next week, next month ??? Has he got on the bloody plane (let alone the bus) ?

What are we doing, timesharing him with Leicester ? I thought that was a done deal.

Calm down you big girlie. With regards to the second point I made, most of the footballing "power" in England is located in London, Midlands, Northwest or NorthEast. We dont belong to any of those categories. A half-decent player can spend an entire career transfering between Midlands teams, for example, without having to uproot himself or his family. As for the first point, its nothing more than how I feel combined with some anecdotal snippets. But I dont see why I shouldnt be permitted to express my opinion on a thread someone started. The only recent thread I started was about transfer strategy. I didnt think my ideas were particularly controversial. I also dont think I repeat myself as much as you make out; my musing about NC being somewhat to blame is a recent development that I only came to yesterday.
