  1. I dont think I am mis-representing it. I have made the perfectly valid argument that the negotiations could have taken place weeks ago so that a signing was announced this week. Only two other posters have said something similar today. According to all the abuse I have received, thats the not the way to do it, transfers have to be made at the end of the month (after another 3 or 4 games have gone). It seems most of our fans accept that transfer activity has to be complex and drawn-out.
  2. Oh great. Andy D'Urso is reffing.
  3. I consider this to be a must-win game. Brighton are supposed to be very weak at the moment and we need to up our points tally from away games to compensate our failing home record.
  4. I agree with you completely my Antipodean friend. I hope you dont get the same abuse that I have for saying similar things.
  5. Right, then we f*cked up royally back in August as Dalek claims then. Just taking the striker issue, Connolly was already a known risk and Barnard already had legal issues hanging over him.
  6. According to our fans, doing everything ball-achingly slowly and complex is the right way forward.
  7. Wow, the sheer pomposity of that comment.
  8. I agree, but the consensus on here is that Nick and Nige should work very hard doing things every way but the simple way, have 50,000 meetings, and come away empty-handed at the end of the month.
  9. THAT IS EXACTLY MY POINT. If we leave it to the end of the month, by the time those hard-fought for players have integrated, it will be the end of February and our promotion campaign will be a dim and distant memory.
  10. I havent complained at all. Maybe it was so outrageously abusive it was simply spotted.
  11. Have you ever noticed that if your outlook or opinion flies in the face of the cosy consensus on here, you get told to support someone else, like having a different opinion makes you an inferior, unworthy or dishonest supporter ?
  12. We have never approached the transfer market with any urgency. Under Lowe there was always the suspicion that he was simply being a tight-fisted clever d*ck. Dont understand the reasoning now though. Are we broke ?
  13. How will you feel if no-one has come in in advance of the game on the 14th, especially if we dont win today ??
  14. Ah, the old "support like me or support someone else" gambit. Yawn.
  15. Palace Leicester 0-1
  16. Well, I dont want to wait another month of crap form to discuss this, to be honest. Do you think our promotion campaign can afford another month of mediocrity ?
  17. I dont really see the relevance of your post.
  18. Brighton are in disarray. Are we ?? I thought everything was hunky-dory down SMS...
  19. I dont need to justify myself. The fact is the other teams in this league have already started addressing their issues whereas we have clearly established weaknesses and are going to ponce around about sorting them out, as we always do.
  20. or Donny getting David Button from Spurs
  21. Or Leeds signing Andros Townsend from Spurs
  22. I must be imagining Blackpool signing Danny Wilson from Liverpool already then....
  23. White flags.
  24. Not quite true. Its also the case now here in Austria. However, the cause of it is simply supply-and-demand here, and a much greater percentage of our pump cost is due to the crude barrel cost so the prices fluctuate daily here, but the last few months the combined market forces have made diesel more expensive. This is of course different from the UK, where the Govt have set the duty in such a manner as to play with your rectal orifice in the manner you so eloquently described previously.
  25. Crowd-pleasing Cameronesque hot-air.
