Did dune wave for the camera ?

Well, I like it. And I support Morrissey's endorsement of the use of that song.

This. Saw it once, couldnt bear to see it again. Give me Thunderball, Goldfinger, OHMSS or You Only Live Twice any time...

In my opinion H4H only exists because the last 2 Governments decided to break the military covenant. Bastards. If the sort of help that is needed by the veterans of todays and more recent conflicts is better served by H4H, and the difference of appeal style from the Poppy Appeal more closely resonates with modern society's values, then I have no concern about the Poppy Appeal ending up taking a back seat in terms of primary veterans aid appeal, as the number of survivors from both world wars sadly drops to zero. The poppy will never disappear as a symbol demonstrating rememberance and untiy with our Armed Forces though, of that I am sure. This year I have been wearing a Poppy and a H4H wrist band. I havent yet got around to getting my Tigers wristband. The Austrians in my office think I'm nuts.

Dont be so hard on yourself.

Christ, you are such a bleeding heart liberal wet blanket.

No overreaction in my eyes. I've lived over here for the best part of 15 years, so see the positives of Europe, but even then I cannot endorse union.

You mean you believed Mr. "My X-wing lasted 30 seconds" Porkins ???

I support VSV here in Austria. Get to about half-a-dozen games a season. Kids love it - just bought them sticks and pucks for Xmas.

This sort of tax scheme is not restricted to France, I think you'll find it is more the norm across the Eurozone.
-
I thought like you until recently, but if the Euro and EU do disintegrate AND skirmishes across Europe kick off, the level of sheer human misery is going to reach a level not seen since WW2, and that only beats this because of the Holocast.

No oil companies, please. considering local links, maybe "The IBM Stadium" if you want a big name. Not many global brands in the area, to be honest.

How ironic that the EU started with (the Treaty of) Rome and will end in Rome.............. I wonder if we are back to European conflicts soon. Only this time, Britain cant shine the solitary beacon of freedom like it did in the past, and military intervention would end worse than Dunkirk.

At least it didnt gloss over the risks.

Agreed. Especially as Keegan was gone by then.

Red Arrow pilot ejected from plane on the ground

Must be something like this, ejector seats should normally save the pilot, even if fired from the ground. -

This. If it had been a straight choice during the Strategic Review last year between keeping the Red Arrows and an additonal squadron of Typhoons/Tornado GR4s/Harrier GR9s, I know which way I would have gone. -

I said something similar over Pulis, and I will say it again : I think its appaling when Saints fans make a certain player of ours the butt of their jokes and are not very pleasant about that player. OK, so Forte hasnt made the grade in the face of some very stiff opposition, but I am sure he has given 100% to the cause and, has been mentioned, he scored a couple of CRITCAL goals for us last season.
-
Good post. I completely agree.
-
Nope, not hindsight. You are assuming that all things are equal between our administration case and that of other clubs, such as those you have pedantically listed further on. Saints had a reasonable team (albeit demoralised), a first-class ground, first-calss training facilities, and a first-class academy. We were an attractive investiment once inflated egos, Walter Mitty-ness and p*ss-poor managment were taken out of the equation. How the f**k can you seriously compare us to the likes of Bury, Halifax and Scarborough ???

Having watched the highlights, I must say I am still worried about the form of Fonte.
-
I just watched the Coventry highlights on their Player. After watching them, I think the issue of Goolie's value to us is a closed case. He was involved in all 4 goals, FFS. His pass for the second goal was genius.

This is interesting : "My message to our Sky Blue brothers and sisters in the footballing community is that good things really can come from administration. You have awesome facilities, a pedigree history and a solid fan base (albeit hibernating). Get rid of these corporate muppets, take the -10 points and have faith that someone - some INDIVIDUAL - will come along and be your saviour just as the late Herr Liebherr was for us. And if it comes to pass that you do play in division three next season, it is not the end of the world. It really isn't. It is still football, still entertaining and think of all those grounds which you haven't been to in yonks!" *smug mode* to all those who saw admin as the end of the world and were extremely abusive to those of us who saw it as the clubs best chance to make it back to the good times
