I just had a friend (and fellow Saints fan) stop by for a coffee on his way back to Blighty after a holiday in Croatia. Says he fancies going to this game too, but doesnt know if he is free until he gets back to the UK on Sunday, and could i wait until mid-week before buying tickets. I dont want to mis out on a chance to see Saints, does any one know the current sales level for this game, and if they are expecting a sell-out ? Would appreciate the info.

NC is going for promotion this season, isnt he ?

So what ? The evidence I have seen has changed my mind. Unlike some dogmatic tw*ts with an agenda, I am capable of doing so..... -
Well, you would hope not. You would hope he would be pleased. However, I know where I would put my money.
-
He's not p*ssing about, it seems. If he gets another quality CB and another striker, this team is going to look pretty f*cking invincible. I just hope Adkins doesnt have mental blocks about the best 11 to pick, because he is going to have some tough choices.
-
What shirt number is he ?
-
Hasnt happened until its on the OS.
-
Isnt our squad getting too big then ? 4 LBs for heavens sake......... Especially with only 5 subs on the bench this season.
-
Hmmm. A bit non-plussed. Was expecting a CB, not a 4th LB.
-
Fine. If I want whinging on your level, I'll take my kids on a day out.

Yep, its a bad thing. He didnt try to find an investor (I prefer "benefactor" - who makes money out of a football club except Martin Edwards ?) because his power would be diluted, so the cloth-cutting would have eventually led to non-league football if Barclays hadnt stepped in (thank f*ck).

And if we had managed to get promoted in spite of Burley, because of Wilde's attempt to build a decent team ? Nah, you wouldnt even be signing a different song then. Your comments on here and about NC make if clear you are a Luvvie pining for your master...

Aaaah b*ll*cks. If you cant see there is a contingent on here that want NC hung, drawn and quartered because he dared not to introduce a rip-off scheme...er...installment plan last season and has introduced small fees for the use of the car parking at the ground, then you are hardly one to be sermonising about objectivity.

Is it ? you and a few others do nothing but slag the bloke off. Go and support someone else.
-
F*ck me, some people are determined to see the negative in a bloke who has delivered silverware, promotion, big money through patronage and transfers, and the most complete squad we have seen since the 80s, and I get accused of being a miserable negative b*stard...

Sooner or later, he's going to on the receiving end of some unpleasant attention, I think.

Yep. And actually those industries destroyed themselves through lack of decent leadership, lack of modernisation and p*ss-poor industrial relations, mainly caused by the unions. I remember my Mum & Dad waiting 3 months for a party-line phone from the GPO, and the power cuts disrupting World of Sport on Saturday afternoons, because the union didnt like working weekends...

A Chairman who doesnt give a flying-f*ck about image and does what needs to be done - even better.....
-
You know what I meant. But yes, a senile 85 year-old woman would probably do a better job than Cameron....
-
There is one incident not touched on in the article that contradicts that conclusion - the Falklands War.
-
Nope, I didnt say that.
-
I disagree. Here is a left-winger laying the blame for the mess the UK is in foresquare at the door where it belongs - Labour.
-
I'm with you. Christ, Britain needs someone like her now.
-
Yes, but that is entirely subjective. The fact is that NC saw the way the wind was blowing first.
-
Wilde nearly got us back to the PL, and would have if Burley hadnt been such an unambitious pr*ck. He took a gamble, and it didnt pay off. At least he tried, and gave us hope. Lowe just started cloth-cutting in order to balance the books.

One less thing to beat NC over the head about, then...
