  1. hehehehe. Priceless.
  2. Which makes your whole post a load of guff.....
  3. Well, some obviously were rubbing their hands at the prospect of drawing parallels between Lowe's activity and Cortese's....
  4. For a few seconds after reading your post, I felt a little sympathy for Lowe, since he clearly could not deal against the transfer market with as strong a hand as Cortese.... ....then I remembered it was his arrogance that largely got us into that position in the first place....
  5. And use the financal gain to strengthen the team. And this Chairman has done his job.
  6. I think NC is being portrayed as a hero because he has stood up to a big club and made them pay through the nose, over-the-odds, baring their arse down a back alley.
  7. And he hasnt sold our best player, either.
  8. Including me, I admit it. He had a good reputation, but in the light of everything since, his problems at Hearts should have been taken more seriously.
  9. Nope, you simply dont get the climate that Lowe fostered at the club, clearly. The transfer fees for the likes of Walcott were reported as INCOME to make the club look like it was turning a profit (or at least breaking even) in order to hold up the share price. Lowe didnt give a sh*t about the team. Remember the radio station / catering / credit card / insurance services ? He saw the football as a single activity of the COMPANY, not the heart of the CLUB. When we were relegated from the PL, he simply looked to cut costs to the level we were at to keep the club/company profitable, there was never a plan to get back to the PL. Do you REALLY not see a difference ?? Wow....
  10. No, I dont think so.
  11. The only comparable effort from Lowe was the sale of Dean Richards. Walcott was given away (considering the potential he had then..)
  12. Pulis ?
  13. Must admit, the one irritation in all of this is that it perpetuates the impression we are Arsenal's feeder club.
  14. Utter b*ll*cks. NC was put in place by a football fan with a benevolent streak, on a specific mission. Lowe was a tosser only interested in the share price and the bottom line. Ergo, we have faith that NC is doing this in the mid-term interest of the club, whereas we knew Lowe did it to line his pocket.
  15. hehehehehe
  16. Yep. I remember the dark days when Askham and Branfoot gave away Shearer.
  17. hehehehe. There is definitely a couple of middle digits floating around in it. The Liebherr family have basically got back what they paid for the club.
  18. There are some very interesting between-the-lines implications in that report. I reckon we made Arsenal squeal to close the deal. And it seems there was a bit of a breakdown between AOC and SFC.
  19. NC seems to be such a canny operator, that is probably the case. F*ck me, what a breath of fresh air it is to have a real pro in charge instead of that beetroot-faced baboon from the Cotswolds.
  20. NC deserves a long c*ck-sucking if this is true...
  21. Chez's attempt to draw parallels between Cortese and Lowe are truly f**king bizarre. The situation is COMPLETELY different. Cortese isnt trying to prop up the share price and dividend for a barely-solvent exchange listed company. And if the rumours about big bids and possibly big signings already being lined up are true, its clear that big transfer fees will be ploughed back into the club by him, rather than being using as income in the accounts to show a profit.
  22. If that turns out to be true (which I severely doubt) I would question NCs head for business.
  23. It will be more than 5m up front, I am certain of that.
  24. Yep. Fed up with the f**king circus, and I am confident NC has done enough to protect the club's interests.
