  1. Ah, no answer then ? I open myself up to be put right by you, and you cannot answer. Thought so....
  2. Didnt say they are unimportant. I said they pale into comparison with the League.
  3. How childish. I would have thought that complaining about negativity would be tempered by recognition that it actually turned out to be realistic...
  4. Just wrote this on another thread, but here goes again.... What progress are we making in our playing and tactics, etc. as a TEAM, even accounting for the money we have spent ?
  5. What is my personal agenda ? You have made this personal, I note.
  6. No, we just dont think the situation from the summer entitles the manager and team to a free lunch for the rest of the season. Come on, what progress are we showing in the way we play ? I keep hearing we are a hoofball team, despite spending millions. And our central midfield is gutless.
  7. Oh, you mean the season where Whiskey George had just ignored the defence the entire summer ? Yep, I wanted him out before the Palace game kicked off, probably before when he ignored Rasiak for half the season AND gave Best the first penalty after a sh*te 120mins. Guilty. I was right about that. Deal with it. As for enjoying Saints not winning, that is as pathetic a footstamping comment on here as you can get. Grow up for once.
  8. As am I. But ML has put serious money into the manager and team, and the question is really does he think they can deliver ? Sooner or later, they need to start showing progress, and we are going backwards at the moment.
  9. ...and there it is again.
  10. Sorry, my post was a bit hard on you. Its just everyone keeps rolling out that same list of excuses. None of them justify our poor form now (that we are supposed to heart from for NEXT season).
  11. Yep, they got to be running an $8bn business by turning the other cheek all the time, didnt they ?
  12. In the grand scheme of things, yesterdays underachievement is more important.
  13. Yep, but the fact of the matter is that the League is a million times more important than a p*ss-pot trophy and a p*ssing contest against a local rival that is 2 leagues above us and will hammer us if they manage to get going. The fans have got it all wrong, and if the manager cannot get the players to focus one match at a time, he really is lacking some of the basics to do the job.
  14. 2 games ? Bit of an exaggeration dont you think ? Tell you what, engage in conversation like a sensible adult and not like a hysterical fish wife, and I will take you seriously.
  15. I agree, but ultimately its down to what NC thinks, not what we think. However, I think Xmas would be the last point where something might happen.
  16. Sorry, the honeymoon period of gratitude is over - there is hard work to be done, and NC and ML would be the first to say it.
  17. Almost as moronic as you regurgitating the Party Line for the billionth time.
  18. Aye. The reaction to this thread is completely bizarre.
  19. I think the 5yr plan is a load of b*ll*cks, conjured up to demonstrate to the fans a sense of long-term commitment. 3 or 4 years sounds right: from L1 to CCC with one allowed f**k-up, and from CCC to PL again with one allowed f**k-up. Ergo, AP will be gone at Xmas if we aint sitting pretty.
  20. I do wonder why Saints fans have to give their managers false starts but other teams get immediate results.
  21. To answer your points : a) I know you might find it painful to read, but there are today comments of doubt about AP and his tactical nous from people who attended the game b) There are loads of people who have been involved in the game at the highest level who have turned out to be sh*te managers. Deal with it.
  22. A pathetic comment from AP. All the other team has to do now when we are playing away, is to tell their groundsman to over-water the pitch, FFS.
  23. Well I think it eminently easy to rationalise the proposal to change manager, though I am not calling for it yet. Its simply a question of whether the incumbent has the tactical nous to come to places like Exeter with a ploughed field of a pitch in mid-winter, and places like Colchester where even the bally-boys are in on the dirty tactics, and nevertheless motivate and direct the team to grind out a win.
  24. In fairness, stranger things have happened, and when you compare squads on paper, it should be the case.
  25. Despite my very vocal doubts about him, I would still give him until Xmas to see if we are making the right progress to go up next season. I am not totally blind to the challenges he faced at the beginning of the season, I just think it does not account for the sh*te performances now. My opinion will not be impacted on this even if MKDons and Poopey absolutely tw*t us over the next week. I have always considered cup competitions as luxuries compared to league status, and a bonus. Some people are too fixated on a day out at Wembley and a local p*ssing contest rather than the clubs general well-being, imo.
