  1. Very witty. Please indicate where I have called for AP to be sacked.
  2. I am open to persuasion, of course. But AP apparently doesnt think he is up to it. Its a big role to give someone who likes to run all over the place like a headless chicken.
  3. This tendency that crops up of accusing someone of making statements of facts is a tactic often used to dismiss someones opinion when you dont like it. Should everybody really prefix every statement with the words "I think", "I am of the opinion", "I believe", or someone jumps down your throat ? Everybody does it. It saves typing time
  4. No, of course not. But then he wasnt really guilty of the defeatism last season, was he ?
  5. Oh, come on !!! Enough of the faux-outrage !!! You hear worse than that EVERY game from the people around you !!! Why does a response given on here to something that has occurrred in the game have to be devoid of emotional content ?
  6. What, we want to play in a style where we rely on penalties to win, do we ?
  7. Was he dropped because we were to trying to play a given system, or was it fitness issues ? I want to see AP put out the best 11 players to play the system with given tactics that he has chosen. I hate it, as it was under Burley with Wright, and how it was under the normally-above-criticism WGS with Telfer, where certain players automatically get their name on the team sheet ins spite of what the manager is generally trying to achieve.
  8. You are not allowed to say these things on here, you know !!! I said during the summer that the only way to completely clear out the culture of under-achievement and failure that has blighted this club in recent years was a complete clean-sweep of playing and non-playing staff. The latter has happened, the former is not complete.
  9. Because I genuinely think a midifield partially populated by these two are the source of our problems. Is that so difficult to understand ? Hammond has a proven record at other clubs, and Holmes and Mills offer width and pace. Lambert also has pedigree, and Saga has done it for us in the past, and I think we all agree our back 5 are tight. So why take such offence at a genuine considered position which, OK, is now spilling over into frustration because AP is as likely to drop them as Burley was Jermaine Wright ?
  10. Some people will argue on here that a manager can scare his players in private whilst defending them in public. I dont buy that at all. If I were a player and a manager slagged me off to my face yet defended me to the death in public, I'd think he didnt mean it really. If I were a manager and were peed off with a given player, I would couch my public tones very neutrally or would offer no comment to direct questions.
  11. You really need to try to deal with your unhealthy obsession with my posts.
  12. Fair enough. You must have gone to a lot of effort to retreive all of them posts. OK, I am attacking him. Thanks for putting me straight.
  13. I was in Southampton for most of August. Just carry on making a complete fool out of yourself, I dont mind at all...
  14. I would restrict his participation to impact sub at the moment, and try to build a working unit of 10 outfield players without him. Maybe Lallana can do a MLT job in the centre behind the forwards, but he is not the finished article yet.
  15. Wow, by saying he doesnt fit, he upsets the team balance, and would prefer a different midfield line-up, we are ATTACKING him. Unbelievable. Straight out of Lowe's "You are with us or against us" book.... Oh, and you are WRONG about not going to games too. If you restricted opinions on here to only people who go to EVERY game, the site would die in days. I have seen Lallana for myself twice this season.
  16. Do you EVER write anything different ?
  17. Members of the same Lallana fan club as AP, no doubt.
  18. You are not the first person to comment on the haunting familiarity of APs comments compared to Burley's. However, Burley is still coming out with the same sh*te for the Sweaties, so I reckon it really is the manager mentality rather than a common ghost-writer.
  19. He runs around like a headless chicken and wastes our corners.
  20. Difficult for him to do anything with zero supply from a clearly dysfunctional midfield. I would play Waigo, James (when Murty fit), Hammond, Holmes or Mills. I do not rate Lallana or Schneiderlin - they do not bring enough to the team performance and in the case of Adam, he is a square peg in a round hole who is screwing up the team balance. But Pardew has that special love for them the way Burley did for Jermaine Wright, so hey-ho...
  21. These are fair comments
  22. Did we go ahead of Carlisle today ? No, thought not...
  23. You are not alone in your thinking, mate. I would also drop Schneiderlin and start playing faster more penetrating football, and screw the pretty elegant stuff for a while.
  24. I consider this a good result. Why ? Because we fought ourselves back into the game by playing the full 90 minutes for the first time since WGS was in charge. Yes, its worrying that we dropped 2 points we should have picked up, and yes its worrying that the team are STILL not firing on all cylinders, but at least the mental toughness and physical fitness are improving. Roll on the next 2 games...
