Oh, do grow up............ And I am in Austria, btw. I am going to watch Austria Kaernten vs Austria Wien this afternoon, kick-off about the same time as Saints vs Donny finishes.

To be honest, its a toughie. I dont feel like enough was done to bring him back in line on one hand (our manager should be able to motivate), and I dont like loans to fellow CCC teams, but on the other hand, he has been truly shiite. I've only ever seen one good game from Dyer, and that was the monsoon game against Leicester nearly two years ago (and he went off injured). What tipped the balance for me was knowing a player was coming the other way. Though I've no doubt it is a make-weight to some degree and JP hasnt got a clue about him because Lowe agreed to it..

I'm happy with this deal. Someone to push Pekhart and McG, and not really weakening the squad, since Dyer was never going to play.

Yep, kind of sympathise with this, despite affection, loyalty and hope for a return to form for Killer. Defence needs to be stable, and get used to having each other alongside. Killer is arguably a disruptive influence.

Wow, - useless leadership by SCC and the mayor goes back a long way then..

Yes, a bad thing. How about, just for once, the manager grabbing a player by the throat and f**king man-managing. FFS, footballers nowadays can throw a strop and force a transfer out. It wasnt all that long a go that the manager would take them out back and kick the crap out of them. Look at the way Fergie has stood up to Ronaldo, and chucked Beckahm out..

Lazy journalism at the Echo just gets worse..

I can almost imagine Lowe saying all that... -
This was definitely JPs first major error-of-judgement of the season.
-
Yep. More inspiration from Lowe and Poortvillet.

Is player skill or commitment more important currently?

Agreed. -
We've all been waiting for this news with dread, but it seems it is inevitable. This week or next month, it was going to come sooner or later.
-
...look at this complete and total plagarism of the e-mail that exit2 got from Andrew Cowen... http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/saints/news/3705034.Saints_scotch_Skacel_rumour/

Bolllocks- its all gone downhill since Snodin left.

Yep, about the 5th in 24 hours of these "look at me, I'm a better fan than you" threads..
-
Wilde is going to invest serious moolah and buy Lowe out.:rolleyes: Anyone else read it ??? Any thoughts ?
-
Lordy, its been all of an hour since we've had one of these threads started, though at least it didnt stoop so low as to include a ridiculous analogy to World War 2...
-
Really ? I seem to recall him masterminding a huge win against Bristol City and some pretty unexpected draws against Charlton and West Brom. The only blot on his copy-book was a heavy defeat by a Hull City team on a massive roll. I think his record is looking more impressive by the week.

“Some of them are too relaxed with the defeat.”

This thought occurred to me too... -
Maybe you and the rest of the Hard-Core Illingsworth Ueber-Fan fraternity should stop lecturing the rest of the fan-base about what they should and should not put up with...

http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/saints/news/3700726.Rotherham_defeat_gives_Poortvliet_a_sleepless_night/ Sort of explains an awful lot. Good that JP keeps his refreshing candid outlook though.. Respect.

A comprehensive rebuttal. Good work fella. Job done. Espeically like the comments about Pearson. For the first time in years, we were 100% united, management and fans alike on wanting to avoid relegation. And Pearson was responsible. Hence the sell-out crowd for Sheff. Utd. compared to 14,000-odd for Barnsley. We could have lost that game and been painfully relegated. The stadium still sold-out. That was support. The good people of Southamptoon still care. But not under that divisive ***t Lowe.

Different manager, same old tedious comments. Oh, I tell a lie. Where was the Lawrie McMenemy comment ???
-
That would be Turncoat Mike....

Great news.
