  1. I for one wish Gregorz well, and dont understand some underlying smirking/schadenfreude with which I can imagine this news being received. He scored a bucketload of goals for us in the play-off season, and rescued the play-off itself. He's a great goalscorer, and our squad was enriched by his presence (even if certain managers can or couldnt see it). If he hadnt been (still) inexplciably dropped, our play-off season may have had a more successful outcome. I dont give a monkey's chuff about his perceived work-rate; Brazillian players dont have high work-rates, nor did MLT. For me, he could transform a game, and every team needs one of those. Who else did we have after Bale lost form and left ? If he has played his last game for us, I am sorry to see him go, and I would never take pleasure at him being injured.
  2. Sorry, is this to me ? I couldnt care less, whatever JP thinks best. All I know is the squad looks stronger and has more options.
  3. Looks like a good piece of business.
  4. Why dont you drop this class hatred nonsense ? It had nothing to do with it for most of us. We simply felt he didnt give a shiit about the football team.
  5. I dont understand that either. Yes, the great experiment of Lowe's is currently demonstrating great promise - but the real test will be when we get a couple of injuries or a suspension. It is still far too early to predict a season of triumph or disaster.
  6. Awful news. Feel sorry for the family of the dead driver, pleased that Mick and his son are OK or going to pull through.
  7. Been away for a few days - but this was helluva result.
  8. Problem with that is, if they turn out to be good, the club holding their registration wont allow a renewal because they might want to use them themselves or can then flog them... I reckon if we really thought Cork and Pekhart were up to it, we should have bitten the bullet and got season-long loans.
  9. Pompey had their mind on the FA Cup Final for most of that run. New season, clean slate. Pompey lost to the two title challengers so far this season. Early days.
  10. Maybe back then Lowe was working towards the success in a constructive manner, and not milking it as he did post-FA Cup Final ? He got arrogant and complaicent in the season 2003-2004, and started focussing on the PLC results. He believed the success was in large part down to him, not Strachan. Hence his ridiculous sequence of managers for the next 18 months.
  11. I consider that highly unlikely - both Redknapp being fired and Lowe re-employing him.
  12. That goal against Liverpool was the dogs bolllllocks...
  13. Let's not forget which Chairman started the customer/quality of service mentality at the Dell/SMS, please... Funnily enough, I dont hear Lowe moaning about being hoisted on his own petard. In fairness to the man, he probably knows what needs to be done and the magnitude/difficulty of the task ahead of him.
  14. Bravo, you've had the last word. I'll leave you to your playground squabbling...
  15. Sorry, I've never bought that. Fact of the matter, we were not robbed by a poor refereeing decision. Derby scored a fair goal. We couldnt hit a cows arse with a banjo. Derby changed things about and got the upper hand. We didnt have a clue how to respond. Ergo, Derby deserved to win.
  16. Someone please remind SW that a goal only counts IF the ball crosses the line.........
  17. That is utter bollllocks.
  18. What in God's name does this mean ? If we deserved to be 4-0 up, we would have been. Billy Davies brought on Shaun Teale and it was one way traffic after that, because our manager didnt have a clue how to counter the tactical change. We were woeful.
  19. Dont ever change a winning side (apart from Killer, of course) If a team are doing well and are confident, they can overcome any lingering knackeredness (though at this stage of the season, there shouldnt be any)
  20. Indeed. I remember Derby at home during the play-off season. Highest attendance of the season, chance to break into the top3 and to set the club record for unbeaten run. We put in one of the most pathetic performances I have ever seen in red-and-white stripes. Suffice to say, the attendances went into reverse.
  21. lol
  22. Dont call him squire, you're playing straight into his hands about us all being flat-capped proletarian scum.
  23. A good sensible and balanced post.
  24. Must have missed that. Didnt know this season started early compared to previous seasons..............
  25. Ok, so if I feel inclined, I can start a thread to slag Burley off, can I ? Hmmm.. Thought not. Are we going down the road of regulating what we can discuss again ? Saint Charlie, I will comment on what I want, where I feel its relevant. Give it a rest with this "ruining thread" crap. It wasnt me who brought Burley up.
