Why the sarcasm ? The board have done what I always said I hoped for; made good the losses, got rid of financial black holes, added some reasonable depth.

Never change a winning side. But its down to how the training go over the next 2 weeks, utlimately. Might have been nice to have a friendly to accelerate the gelling. I reckon we could win comfortably. Toon are pants.

No way do we have less depth than last season. The only positions we dont have strong back-up are LB (no change from last season, and anyway Targett is coming through) and striker (anyway J-Rod will hopefully be back soon). And for the first time we have real competition at CB. Is the squad weaker ? I would argue not. We have got rid of dead-wood and malingerers. I'm optimistic for this season - and thats saying something.

The most interesting thing about this game is will Forren and Rooney kick-off after our inivisible CB decided to call Shrek a fat bastard in the international media.
