  1. I must have missed that particular play or sonnet during O-Level English Lit....
  2. I would argue Rickie's move is all the proof there is that some transfers go quick as lightning. I am sure it depends on the will of all the parties involved. I also think this has an impact on the success of the transfer. Just as an example, I would argue the writing was on the wall with Ramirez and Osvaldo before they even walked on a pitch for us.
  3. I reckon 8th again.
  4. Doesnt make it right.
  5. I'm wondering if I have ever read a more smug post on here...
  6. Utter b*ll*cks. I might be overly negative, but I rarely apply sarcasm and sneering to my responses, and I dish out a fraction of what I get in terms of abuse.
  7. So, the question bodes : if the fan base hadnt reacted so negatively to Chambers leaving, where would be now ? I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. But I'll be f**ked if I am going to apologise until there is some sort of recognition from them that they screwed up in their judgement of Pochettino and the communication thereafter..
  8. This is a great post.
  9. Perhaps his message might have been better listened to if it hadnt been accompanied on every occasion by sneering, heavy sarcasm and abuse.
  10. I am guessing it provides for some sort of unfulfilled need in their lives..
  11. Dont go into defensive mode. We were in a right mess, and the sneering Über-Fan know-it-alls know it too.
  12. I dont think there is more than a couple of trolls on here. So what if a few overreact ? At least they are honest and care, unlike the emotional Rambos that infest this site. And it shows a lot about their maturity that they are now in "told you so" mode despite the fact that they knew f**k-all more about what would happen than the rest. It's f**king boring and childish.
  13. Yep. But Turkey and CB knew this would be the result all along, apparently.
  14. I can see we are all quite happy, though while most express their satisfaction the usual suspects go straight into smart-arse mode to settle petty scores. Oh well....
  15. My thanks to Jos for the major role he played in getting us back to the top. Its sad that he is not quite up to the grade needed for this level, but I hope he has a fantastic season at Norwich and the rest of his career is successful and fulfilling. Who knows ? Maybe Norwich will go up with his help, he will stay and we see him again next season at SMS ?
  16. I find it a pity it didnt work out, but yes, I am glad we have that financial black hole off the books. The right decision for the club
  17. + Squad is stronger Squad is deeper Manager has more tactical nous and may be a better motivator Most egotistical troublemakers gone Finances better shape Expensive passengers offloaded - Still a few bellyaching players around, but time has been bought to sell the new vision or plan their replacements How will we stop the same feeding frenzy next summer if we do well ? Overall happy and relieved. Well done Board
  18. jesus, why must we always take so long to close deals ?
  19. Christ, now is not the time for the board to be clever dicks
  20. the rule states deals must be concluded, not announced. reckon it will be lunchtime tomorrow till we are sure about J-Rod and Morgs
  21. Ramirez going then ?
  22. Strange if Capel is done..
  23. Well in that case I'm guessing Levy is already starting to doubt his new manager. Maybe we were being generous with Xmas...
