Martin Samuel p*sses in our pool again.....

Yes, I think in fairness he's done a good job of rebutting the attacks on him. All he says is true about what he wrote, but there is stil a tangible undercurrent of dismissal in his writing... -
Yes, very happy for Pearson considering how he was tossed aside by Lowe.
-
Pearson will get the nod. Recovering from losing half our first team, and them dealing with promotion probably cancel out, so it will be putting 5 past Manyoo that grabs the attention.
-
Whats up with Yoshi ?
-
Assuming Bertrand stays, the only one I would have back from the latest crop of 5 is Chambers.

No problem with booing during the game when a player touches the ball. Its almost like when the villain comes on stage in a pantomime. It has some comedy value. But if he took the trouble to come over and applaud once hostilities were over, in a game we had won anyway, thats plain f**king brain-dead...

Anyone else think we could be on the verge of something special?

Lets see how we get on in December first.... -
Ouch.

Feel sorry for Boro...
-
Boro Score

Safe journey home, Vera...

So, according to the Beeb tonight is all about Diaby. F**k the other 21 players on the pitch... Their reporting is so f**king lazy and populist nowadays
-
Give it a rest using the term UDI. This is a part of the UK we are talking about, not f**king Rhodesia.

Got my ear bent right back in my office today about Mane. Consensus of opinion is that we lifted the Austrian Bundesliga of just about the best player they had. Really hoping he tears Arse and Arse a new Arse tonight.........
-
Reckon he will scare the living sh*t out of Arsenal (or QPR)
-
Well I reckon he viewed the "bit" as bigger than it is now. I am guessing he didnt know Borini would stay and be above him in the pecking order, or that Balotelli was coming. I dont feel sorry for him. He cast aside the best years of his career with little careful thought, on a notion of romantic bullsh*t and, maybe, money.

Is "complemental" even a word ? Surely is "completmenting" or "complimentary" ? -
Finding it bizarre that Cameron is being accused of party politics, simply because he has woken up to the rising resentment in England at Scottish attention-seeking and greed, and sees the need for an English settlement. For me, even as a traditional Labour supporter it seems Milliband is playing the party politics because he will of course lose control of England following a General Election if he cannot use Scottish Labour MP votes. Simple question : why cant Westminster either : Put a gentlemans agreement in place that Scottish MPs do not vote on English issues or Introduce electronic voting instead of divisions so that Scootish votes (if any of them try) are simply subtracted ? Why cant it be THAT simple ? Changing the subject, why is Lord Barnett making such a fuss over his formula suddenly, nearly 40 years on ? Has the dog-sh*t suddenly started arriving through his letterbox now ?

FWIW I agree with Jeff and Minty; the club went through a major correction in direction during the summer, and this should be viewed as a one-off. There is no evidence to support Samuels assertion that this is a deliberate strategy. I view this article as a combination of sour grapes and patronizing, made more effective by trying to appear balanced by sticking a few words of praise in. -
I am coming to the conclusion that Salmond resigning is actually a bad turn of affairs. He is no longer constrained by the niceties of office and can now play really dirty.
