Ramsdale saved us from a routine 3-0 defeat in a game where their keeper could have brought a sudoku book.

I doubt either club will be selling the DVD of that for Christmas but a point is a point and I’ll take them however they come. Good to have Ramsdale back, he certainly made a difference at the back. I just hope that when Juric does get to work he can come up with some ideas for scoring goals.

Armstrong replaces Archer because the latter has apparently been ill. Three at the back, Dibling and Fernandes in front of Aribo and Downes. We've yet to see how they're actually going to shape up and play but the only real change of personnel is Suga in for Manning.

It wouldn't appear Juric has had too much input on that team selection, I'm guessing it's basically Rusk sticking to what everyone knows in the short term. As for Archer/Armstrong - meh, two goal a season striker replaces four goal a season striker, neither is Del Piero.

Nobody is demanding anything from Juric, let alone European form, I'm not sure why you've made that up. You can say everyone expected more than 5 points if you like but I'm not particularly surprised by it.

You seem to be getting very agitated by things nobody has said about events which haven't happened. I want Juric to suceed as much as the next Saints fan but if he doesn't I certainly wont be gloating or demanding his head on a spike. I'll that will mean to me is what I thought it might mean back in summer - that our squad really is incredibly sh*te.

15-20 points is probably on the optimistic end of a reasonable-ish prediction for this season (total, including the 5 we have so far). Staying up would probably require 35 ish, so 30 from 22 games looks highly unlikely. I’m not asking anyone to like Martin but I think some people are grossly overestimating the achievements he was holding us back from.

Because we would have to pay compensation to Wednesday and pay Rohl’s wages and pay him compensation if we wanted to sack him.

This, I don’t know why people think managers will just agree to whatever terms happen to suit us and sign any piece of paper we stick in front of them.

We’ve got an awful squad, which will almost certainly get us relegated whoever is in charge, especially given where we now are in the table. Proven PL managers, even ones who aren’t really that inspiring like Moyes and Potter, were never really likely to want to come here. The only thing that would have tempted them would have been an absolute wheelbarrow full of cash, which would have been a massive waste on our part.

I am neither overwhelmed nor underwhelmed. You may consider me moderately whelmed.

It's not a consequence at all, officials have been getting offsides wrong since the dawn of time. Palace look like they were on the wrong end of an offside goal tonight too.
