  1. I think it's fair to say the weekend's sport went tits up.
  2. It sounds like something you’d see an optician about.
  3. Then you're going to have to be more specific about the precise level of anger you expect to be displayed. I'm afraid I don't know how you define, "digging each other out," and, "getting into Bednarek," and how that differs from shouting abuse. Does it work? Because they are human beings, they aren't infallible and they playing against some of the best players in the world. You criticise our players for not getting in the refs face, 'like other sides do' but disregard the fact that other team's players also make plenty of mistakes
  4. Agreed, I often find that colleagues screaming abuse in my face if I make a mistake significantly improves my performance thereafter.
  5. If we didn't sell him, our business would basically have been selling Vest and buying Perraud in summer. Then Ings would have left next summer and we'd be trying to replace our top goalscorer for free. Sounds like a much better recipe for relegation to me.
  6. I wouldn’t. I’m surprised people are looking back at the second half of last season with rose tinted glasses quite so soon. A quality striker could have won the game yesterday but for medium sized chunks of last season, Ings was not that player and managed a somewhat okay 12 league goals. We aren’t weaker at LB, I’d say we have two better options, and you won’t find too many Leicester fans impressed by Vestergaard so far. At CM were talking about a fourth choice player of Jankewitz calibre, so hardly a massive loss to the squad. We did need to worry at RB, cover at fullback was an absolute necessity this summer. When KWP picks up a knock, I’ll sleep soundly knowing we don’t have to play Stephens at RB.
  7. Would you swap everything back, if offered it?
  8. It’s not a risk, we basically didn’t have a choice.
  9. Forgot Leeds on that list. 14 conceded in 6 games now. No win, no clean sheet and teams seem to have figured them out.
  10. To each their own I guess, personally I think it’s been a much better start than many were expecting. Not just our own performances but the fact that Norwich, Burnley, Watford, Wolves, Palace and Newcastle are clearly nothing to write home about.
  11. I really don’t see it as being anywhere near that desperate right now. Nobody else watching us this season would say we look like relegation fighters.
  12. Perhaps (certainly) someone knows more about this than I but weren’t Big Sam’s Bolton pioneers of certain aspects of sports science in the early 2000s? As much as he is viewed as an old school clogger, he managed to ‘refurbish’ the likes of Okocha, Ivan Campo and Djorkaeff.
  13. Videos of people 'reacting' to things. What would anyone give a sh*t?
  14. If I was the PM I'd tell people there is no shortage of dildos and no need to panic buy. Just so I'd get to watch a thousand people fighting to smash their way into Ann Summers in West Quay. I wouldn't make a good world leader.
  15. No.
  16. As I recall he was rolling around on the floor near our right hand corner flag but the ref gave either a FK our way or a goal kick. Bart took it long, there was a bit of pinball in their box and Waigo stabbed it in. Had Holt been back in the box defending, rather than rolling around on the floor 70 yards away, he’d have probably got his massive swede on the initial ball in and we’d never have made it to Wembley.
  17. If we’re going that simplistic then yes, I agree. However, that’s as generic as saying if we’d collected all our best players from recent history into one squad we’d be a better team, which is obvious. You are right in a literal sense but it’s still a moot point. Rather like saying we’d have won the league in 2016 if we had Pelle, Mané, Tadic, Pahars, Niemi and Lallana.
  18. The point is that if we hadn’t sold Ings, we wouldn’t have signed the players to create those chances, so it’s a moot point. That and the fact we’d have likely conceded enough goals that a couple of extra from Ings wouldn’t have helped. In these fixtures last season we either conceded 3+ goals or failed to score ourselves.
  19. Because we can only afford those other players thanks to selling Ings and Vest to raise funds. We did have Ings last season and we didn’t win any of these fixtures.
  20. I’m pretty sure we also beat Torquay on penalties. Pretty sure that was the game when I thought Waigo would get booked for time wasting if he was offside one more time.
  21. What about Ings and Valery instead of Armstrong and Perraud/Liv?
  22. You couldn't afford me, princess.
  23. It quite clearly wasn’t a conspiracy against Saints. If that’d been the penultimate game of the season and a draw/win for City would have kept them two points behind Liverpool and United for a glorious, three way title scrap on the last day of the season, I might have feigned belief in this nonsense. As it is, what do refs favouring City ACTUALLY achieve for the PL? Ensuring they run away with the title and TV viewing drops off a cliff for the final month of the season?
  24. How many times did you ask her?
  25. Live on Sky Sports for this one. Time to make good on our promising play and turn it into a decent win, for a change.
