I heard someone on the BBC earlier saying that only 1% of deaths were people who had been fully vaccinated, so slightly higher than that tweet. I guess now that 90% of adults are fully vaccinated, that death percentage has crept up to one whole percent.

I’m more concerned by the cream chinos.

Not this again. He basically won League 1 and was a whole point with better GD off winning the Championship. A better ref at the Riverside and we’d have won that too. Give it up.

I get that but it’s not as if there are laws requiring us to pollute, produce carbon or have poor insulation. If anything, the rises in energy prices are going to make it imperative for people to be as efficient as possible, regardless of whether they care about environmental issues. I’m not sure there’s much crossover between anti-vax and climate protestors. One is predominately left wing and the other right wing.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-beds-bucks-herts-58543603 I don’t get this. If you’re trying to get people to be environmentally conscious, why do stuff that makes you widely hated by the rest society.

I think it’s absurd to think that it’s never occurred to a professional football manager, or any of the coaching staff, to try something which a bunch of nobodies on the internet have thought of. I’m sure a lot of stuff gets tried in training and never carried forward into the match day routine. Saying he’s good at running forward and crossing, therefore put him in midfield is far too simplistic a take on it.

I don’t see why not. I don’t think he will pick Broja but that’s a tactical choice and nothing to do with a loan.

Is it just one Manc we’re playing? Should be able to beat him on his own.

A bit offensive from Lineker, to compare Raducanu's family (who I assume came here legally) with what's going on in the Channel.

That rule needs to change, maybe an enforced sub of the player involved. I’ve watched it a few times, only at full speed and zoomed out but it didn’t even look like a foul. Just an unfortunate clash of legs as they both went in.

That’s a nasty looking injury.

Awesome 24 hours for British sport, McLaren winning again.

A lot of people want to feel like they're fighting against an oppressor of some sort.

It’ll go to Phil Jones.

Was that the game when she claimed the umpire was discriminating against her for being a woman, in an all women’s match? That was pretty pathetic. Fernandez seemed a bit miffed about the physio call although I’d forgive a teenager for that, playing in a grand slam final under sudden death pressure.
-
Wow. This girl is a born winner. Faultless, didn’t crack under pressure, didn’t drop a set. Amazing.

I agree. If the points keep trickling in whilst we’re playing below standard in tough fixtures, then that’s no bad thing. All four games, whilst frustrating, have been a million miles better than the 3-0 down after 25 minutes garbage, when you never trouble an opposition in second gear.

Djenepo, Adams and the Armstrong brothers for me. Broja off the bench.

I’m fairly sure Kammy has been drinking on GSS.
-
There’s no reason to think that was the choice.

Who had 14th minute in the ‘Romeu has to play the rest of the match on a yellow’ sweepstake?
-
Our team is absolutely stronger with Liv in it. For a start it’s a 40 game plus season and there will be injuries and fixture congestion. You can’t expect KWP to play every minute of every game at 90mph. Even putting all that aside, Liv is a fundamentally better player. By all accounts, we have looked at a DM but the right player wasn’t available at the right price. GK I’d imagine came down to wages. We still have two on very expensive contracts, I doubt we were willing or able to add a third, who’d want at least as much as Forster.
-
You don’t understand why we bought Livramento for £5m? That’s like saying why buy a Ferrari for £100 when we really need a new bathroom.

Has she has a baby with our new defender? They’ve basically got his nomination video for the ceremony already made. An upbeat montage of the goals we scored on the way to the final, a soundtrack of Three lions interspersed with commentary about England, "running riot in the quarter final," (they won’t mention it was Ukraine), beating Germany and winning the group without conceding. It’ll end with a tear-jerking slow-mo of Gareth comforting distraught players after the final and shots of fans crying in the stands. This is then followed by a voiceover explaining that he, "also had to lead the team through much darker times," accompanied by grainy images of headlines about racists tweets, then more slow-mo of the players kneeling and angry Hungarian fans, this time with a sepia filter. I can’t see Raducanu beating that, personally. She hasn’t had the slow swell of support, built up over years of near misses that someone like Murray had.
