  1. It’s no different from the days of Man Utd signing the likes of Ferdinand and Veron for £30m, whilst we were signing the likes of Prutton and Higginbotham for £2m each. Just bigger numbers.
  2. If you were pulled over by traffic police and behaved the same way, you’d get the same treatment. I’m not sure how people really expect the Police to react, if they repeatedly refuse to comply with a direct instruction.
  3. Saints and Sheff Utd to both get relegated, then play out the final?
  4. Yes!!! I hope.
  5. TBF, behind is relative to whichever end of the pitch you’re at and he didn’t specify which team he will cause problems for. Critical thinking Sheaf, don’t let your guard down.
  6. I reckon you could be right. I’m under fifty and built like a Greek Olympian, no sign of an appointment yet.
  7. Me neither but it is at least feasible. Perhaps Pep has finally tabled that £40m bid for Redmond.
  8. Theoretically, if we sold Ings and Lemina...
  9. He is one of the better players in a poor team fighting relegation. Nothing more.
  10. Watching that, one could be forgiven for thinking Fulham are a bit sh*te.
  11. No. This, rather bizarrely is a contest between two teams - one only three points ahead of us, who nobody has even entertained the possibility of catching. One seven points behind us, who everybody is obsessing over.
  12. How many points would half a season with those two be worth, instead of having Stephens, Bednarek and Vest?
  13. Now that is a good use of VAR, none of this ‘loose thread on his sleeve playing him off’ b*llocks.
  14. Needs to learn a thing or two from Glasgow. That guy could put a £5 bet on Saints, a week before the game, and cash out for £130 just before kick off. A genuine mastermind and a sad loss to this forum.
  15. All of this is rather trivial anyway. We won’t go down and if we do scrape past Bournemouth we will be comfortably beaten by one of the other three teams in an empty Wembley stadium.
  16. The opposite of which would happen if we went down, basically. We’d be building a team around Long, Stephens, Gunn, Valery and N’Lundulu.
  17. More a case of having an abundance of syringes and people who know how to use them.
  18. A definite whiff of 2008 Bristol Rovers about this.
  19. There was always going to be a correlation like this at some point. Whether there’s an actual cause and effect I’ve no idea but 40 cases in 17 million wouldn’t suggest so. Personally I can’t wait until these vaccines start getting rolled out to late teens and early twenties in USA and we have a whole bunch of people coming out as gay in the days after their first dose. The evangelical conservatives are going to go ape-sh*t about what the liberal vaccines are doing to their children.
  20. I can’t say I’ve really seen anything I’d call a lack of effort. I’ve seen a lack of talent, squad depth, confidence, tactical awareness, purpose, urgency, financial investment, flexibility, variation, luck, mental resilience, concentration, dynamicism and creativity but not effort.
  21. I’m not sure where you’re getting your medical information from but I’ve spoken to a physio and she confirmed that you can’t cure muscle injuries and fatigue by rubbing bank notes on them.
  22. The gospel according to Wikipedia lists Branfoot as having managed 128 games, not 102. I assume you have a more reliable source? I wouldn’t want to misrepresent Ralph, with those extra 26 games he could easily add another win and two draws to his tally.

    Dan Nlundulu

Didn’t realise he was 22, I’ve been thinking he was 19 or something. Wouldn’t be sad to see him jog on in summer, not making any impact on the team at all and we’ve hardly got striking superstars blocking his path.
  24. That was just a little bit special.
  25. Officially. Quite how accurately cases are recorded in provincial towns and inner city slums, nobody really knows.
