  1. Loved him as a player but to say he wasn't the sharpest tool in the box would be an understatement. I remember one promotional video where the players were reading out selected tweets from fans and it was quite apparent that he was barely literate.
  2. I’m going to have to go against the grain and say I’m against this. He’s 32 and has had plenty of injury problems, they are only going to get worse and more frequent with age. Also his injury hasn’t coincided with our poor form at all, that’s a myth. We were poor for a while and he was underperforming, before he was injured; we’d scored 3 goals in 7 games: Saints 0-1 Man City Fulham 0-0 Saints Saints 0-0 West Ham Saints 1-0 Liverpool Leicester 2-0 Saints Saints 1-3 Arsenal Saints 0-1 Villa
  3. I just love that he's tagged some random Korean bloke in all of that nonsense. 😂😂
  4. Happy?! 😆 This is about what we can and can’t do, happiness doesn’t come into it. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, masks and SD are the last thing I care about. I’ll worry about that when literally everything else is back to normal and the professors of immunology, virology and all the other words I can barely spell say the world is safe and we can all go back to normal.
  5. Nobody remotely decent is going to come here to be fourth choice CM and we badly need to spend what little money we may have in other areas. Playing Jankewitz if we get two injuries would be no different to playing Obafemi, Tella or N'Lundulu if Ings and Adams were both injured. I really can't see any signings here, unless someone leaves.
  6. Well, if the whole world is back to normal, including international travel, then we can look at doing away with masks and SD too. Right now what we have is no travel, most of our neighbours in lockdown and half a country which has had half a vaccine, that won’t help 1/10 people anyway.
  7. Well yes, they are. Literally anyone who enters the country is going to be using our shops, public transport and whatever else. We're trying to get things as close to normal as possible but it needs to be done carefully and with the right priorities. By sacrificing travel to unvaccinated parts of the world, you basically mean all of it, apart from maybe the USA and Israel. Personally, I'd happily wear a mask for ten minutes in B&Q if it meant I could go on holiday again but to each their own. I really can't understand your last sentence, it honestly baffles me. Thanks to our vaccination success, we're opening everything up whilst the rest of Europe is locking down. Boris has literally just said we can open pubs (outdoors) hair salons etc. next week and you're somehow managing to pretend that isn't happening, so you can call it a waste of time.
  8. Because most of the world won’t have been vaccinated within the next year and there are a reasonable number for whom the vaccine won’t be effective anyway. If we want to start allowing travel between countries which are well behind us, we’re going to have to try and limit the spread of infection wherever possible.
  9. Pretty good lesson in how to not look interested in a game, at Molyneux.
  10. Dawkins best described it as the non-random survival of random variations within the gene pool. In other words, Dave being able to run faster than Steve is just random chance; the fact that Dave is more likely to evade predators is not random.
  11. You do understand that there’s a difference between simply being asked to wear a mask and total worldwide lockdown? I mean, you do understand that going to a shop wearing a mask and not being able to go to a shop are actually two different possibilities?
  12. You guys should Skype each other.
  13. Nothing says, "we’re going to scythe down a ten point deficit," quite like collapsing to defeat against an out of sorts Villa, with no Grealish and nothing to play for.
  14. Switching off. Useless bunch of w*nkers.
  15. Happy Easter Saints fans.
  16. Don’t we normally do that at half time anyway?
  17. Bit harsh on McAdams, guessing he thinks Redmond will be sharper.
  18. I often used to watch him play and think, ‘he couldn’t trap a two tonne bag of Charlie’.
  19. TBH the way you two go on about it, I’d swear you’d been sh*gging each other at some point.
  20. Standard negotiation technique. Whatever City have got planned, they won’t be replacing Aguero with Danny Ings.
  21. And on the third day he arose from his tomb and said unto his disciples, "I want some f**king Mini Eggs you c**t!"
  22. It is now. A couple of weeks before that picture it was an area of rainforest, which was cleared to make room for a mass grave.
  23. You only said China to scare people. You could also expect something like this from South Korea, Taiwan, Australia, NZ or Singapore, where restrictions have been much more stringently enforced and as a result they've had much more freedom in the long run.
  24. I reiterate;
  25. That’s a straw man which nobody of any sense is attempting to argue. The answer is a very precarious balancing act between public health and the capacity of the NHS, with a desire to live life normally and open everything up. The governments current plan of cautious easing seems largely sensible to me. What isn’t sensible are large anti-lockdown protests, which are the one thing most likely to lead to more lockdowns.
