Baird of the land

Yeah bizarre that anyone would consider varane an outstanding fit to Shea.

If Thb leaves will we get the same no imminent replacement bs.

Thought it was still Downs

Both were bad first half. My main problem 2nd half was that with exception of the goal neither wanted anything to do with running with the ball that the likes of Charles offered. Both wanted to the DM recycler and Downes stood out defensively.

Always good to know that priorities aren't imminently being addressed

Hadn't realised how well he did for Preston. Yeah Still think prioritising 9m spending there then vs cm was odd.

I don't like dobbin signing, may suddenly turn into an immediate goal machine. However Smacks of going back to a signing for future potential sell on (downs/quarshie) rather than immediate impact. Especially egregious spending there when we knew we were going to have a massive immediate need at cm8 very soon.

Depressing that they seem to have slipped back into incompetence mode in regards transfers.

Not looking like a good window. Lost a good striker, an excellent cm and looking like an excellent cb. Still no cm signed and a couple gambles on potential made.

It started with matsuki not putting the ball into the box.

Yeah I was hoping we were going to take off the ineffective matsuki and bring on a 2nd striker.

Clownish by the club not having a CM signing at an advance stage by the time Charles left. Such an acute need for someone who will run with the ball. The only time either Bragg or downes showed any interest to we scored.

Really poor. 2nd half marginally better. Still the only moment one of our players was willing to run with the ball (Bragg) and we score. Instead of trying it more we revert to the sideways nonsense. guess lucky for us top 8 make playoffs.

We don’t have Charles anymore to bring on and salvage it like we did then.

That was abysmal. cm has been awful, cowardly on the ball and offering little screen defensively. Few times we’ve got forward we are overplaying it too much. overall sense of us being a soft touch, which is a complete contrast to end of last season.

Pathetic. Why are they refusing to put the ball in the box and instead passing the ball sideways straight to the opposition.

The lack of cm’s on the bench is the only concern for me. Would have thought they could have included a u21 player.

Lamkshear looks a good signing for boro. 2 goals and hit the bar too.

Do wonder if someone is actually going to stump up the sort of money for a cb required to get us to part with Thb. If they do I guess we’d have to go test the resolve of someone else in the championship like we did when we got fellows.

Got to be a progressive player. jander/bragg/downes can all play the defensive role

He was very keen and close to leaving in January (if not for Armstrong move scuppering his move to Rangers) So i would not be at all surprised to see him moved on if he doesn't want to be here

Not a great draw but at least it is at home.

Depends if he wants to be here though.

No. We need someone to replace what charles offered and that is not jwp, especially not the current version of him. Plus right now he's a massive financial headache for west ham, no one should be rushing to help them out of it.

Gutted to lose him, leaves a massive hole in the midfield. glad it didn’t drag (given the seeming inevitability of it). Hopefully allows us to get a move on in recruiting a like minded replacement.
