  1. It's funny isn't it; how when he was in the team, he (VW) was a bit of a whipping boy for some. Now he's not in, he's massively missed (which he is). Sent from my GT-N5110 using Tapatalk
  2. I fully appreciate this and personally think we're doing well, and could even push on further come Feb an March....and think most fans will accept this. But the question was, and is, is this enough for NC?
  3. I'm fairly certain the Chairman won't lose any sleep over the comments on a forum. The point of the thread was to open discussion. Again, I'm not saying he should go, or that I think he will, even, more a question as to whether it COULD happen based on our relatively poor recent form....regardless of opponents.
  4. Right, now I've finally got round to paying the annual subs, I can have a right to reply - after takin some undeserved abuse. If you ready OP, I clearly state that I DO NOT think that MoPo should get the boot, and personally think he is doing a grand job. But. Cortese has form in this regard. Cortese has (very) ambitious plans. Cortese doesn't want 'mid table mediocrity'. Cortese (it seems, doesn't massively care for niceties and 'fan favourites'. So, IMO, it was a fair point to raise whether MoPo is IN DANGER, and MAY get the sack. Our recent form isn't great, and Cortese has gone on record of saying he won't wait to lose 6 games before making a change. We're not a million miles away from that.
  5. Are you so aggressive face to face or just on the internet? Anyway, back to the (legitimate) question. Money has been spent, and yes, we've improved, but is it enough for NC?
  6. First things first, I DO NOT want MoPo to go, but I recall NC saying that he won't wait until we lose x games in a row before making a change. Were currently 3-0 down to Chelsea at home, and IMO playing fairly well, and would beat other teams on this showing, but is it enough I quench NC'a thirst for progression? I sincerely hope a snap decision isn't made and he stays. Thoughts?
  7. I would drive him to Upton Park for £8M. No disrespect to SRL, he's been a great servant to the Club and done great things, but £8M for him at this stage in his career would be a good bit of business. Especially if we can replace him with quality.
  8. Hope he pulls through, although it doesn't look good. Legend. Sent from my GT-N5110 using Tapatalk
  9. Pick that out. Gaston
  10. Incredible in depth assessment of the performance on motd there.... Useless ****s
  11. Thanks everyone, she's the best Christmas present ever. You're right, she (chidden in general) put things into perspective and everything that was important, suddenly isn't. She's our second, and we worried that we wouldn't feel the same for her as we did our boy....but none of it. The second she was born, BOOM, there's the love. Anyway - enough of this soppy stuff - I'm going for 3-1 to saints today, Lallana, Ossie, and JRod.
  12. Thanks all....still buzzing, if a little tired! Nicola - damn, should've thought I that one. And we had Matthew for the middle name if it was a boy! DP - you're right, what was I thinking, off down the TO now to get tkts.
  13. A new saint was born into the world today at 0838. Olivia Ellen. Just in time for Spurs on tv on Sunday... If you think it feels good wen we score/win....not a patch on this!
  14. Ha!! Nope, it was a complete one
  15. Thought I'd share, after all the moaning on the 'what annoys you'thread. For the last 5 months or so, every Wednesday, my son sits on our bedroom windowsill and waves at the bin men and they kindly wave back at our him (just turned 2). This morning, my boy was playing in the living room and heard them. He and his mum went out to wish them a merry Christmas, and they came over to him and gave him a chocolate Santa. It's not a big thing, but it made my boys day and shows that people do care it's not always 'just a job' Well done and thank you to the kind bin men of Southampton. What else has made you smile recently?

  17. I haven't got children of school age yet so can't comment first hand. When I went to school, my parents regularly took me out of school for 2 weeks either at the end or beginning of term....presumably to take advantage of the cheaper holidays, or to not be over run with other kids! This didn't affect me, I still did (relatively) well in my exams, went to college, have a good (ish) job and can read, write, and count as well as the rest of you. My only concern is the ever increasing 'nanny state' we are in. Also, are we as parents allowed to charge the schools for inset days, at £60 per parent? No, thought not. 24. I think that if they want to increase the competitiveness of the sport and mess around with the points, they should do this: keep the current points values the same, all season long, but make it so that you get bonus points for winning a race if you DONT start from Pole. Example: if you win from 2nd, you get 2 extra points, win from 3rd - 3 extra and so on and so forth.
  25. Who said this game doesnt mean a lot to the players?
