I think we'll go strong. We've had 2 weeks off, anymore and the players will get rusty. Wouldn't be surprised to see the first team.

If you flat out ditched fan segregation in stadiums the issue would die out imo. But then so would much of the atmospheres - so its a trade off on what people are willing to accept as spectators. The police and stewarding also don't help as they often invite trouble. Fundamentally it all stems from dividing people into what are effectively tribal groups (similar to identity politics) imo, and it isn't unique to just Britain/England - you find the issue all over the world and indeed its far better here than many other places. What might be an interesting idea is to have a dedicated home end, a small dedicated away end. And then a general acceptance that the rest of the stadiums are unsegregated and fair game 🤷‍♂️ - Which isn't that different to what we have now, but might remove the incentives for nastier elements of fanbases as they're basically being encouraged/tolerated by authorities rather than treated like miscreants. Will be interesting to see what happens with SMS re development, its always been an issue here. You could for example dedicate all of Northam to the home end. Give say 1000-1500 seats in itchen corner to the away end, and then allocated the rest of any away following to general sale tickets around the rest of the stadium 🤷‍♂️

DT and Burn are two lower Premier league signings that belong in relegation battling defences. They haven't sorted their defence 😅. But they have sorted out their midfield somewhat and are rumoured to be getting another attacker and Henderson on loan. All of which is more than enough to make them better than watford/Burnley/Norwich, and possibly Everton and Leeds. They'll stay up now sadly. Too much to ask for one of everton/Leeds to take their place?

But I'd be astounded if people (who were after a JWP type of player) chose to look at philips instead - JWP is a far better all round midfielder, he has better fitness, and ofc his set peice delivery / threat is the best in the world. He is a class player who really doesn't get the credit for what he does. A bit of a milner I guess. But the way he's playing recently he is getting up there with rice for best English CM and imo he really should be starting with him for England in 4-2-3-1 (which fits England's players perfectly). Pobably would be if it wasn't for the utter dog shite that is Southgate as manager. If he wants to move (which isn't guaranteed), we can expect bigger fish than Newcastle coming in for him this summer. Hate to say it, bit Liverpool need to replace Henderson and milner as it is. United's cm is dog average as well, even city could use him as one or their plethora of squad players (plus ofc he is home grown). Imo, if JWP is interested in a move this summer, it will be to a top 4 team. I hope it doesn't happen as I'd love to see him do a MLT (and win something) with us.
