Three of our next five league fixtures are against teams around us and a fourth at Brentford where points are achievable. There is a three point gap from 20th to 14th place so to say we're pretty much relegated is nonsense! Bringing in somebody with some confidence up front is essential to us being competitive in those fixtures, but to write us off is laughable until the window is shut and we know the state of play for the rest of the season. We also have the added benefit that our next league fixture isn't until after the window closes.

If Ings is available it's a no brainer and he'll likely be cheaper than an untried entity from Europe or the Championship. He was the main reason we were so successful during project restart and was the instigator of our successful pressing which by the looks of things is what NJ is trying to integrate into the squad. Yes he is 30 and his injury record is poor but if he keeps us up this season it's a cheap price to pay for retaining our premier league status.
