Post-Match Reaction: SAINTS 1-1 FC Midtjylland
Saint Scott replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Defence was really all over the place tonight. Fonte and caulker looked on a different wave length and yoshi at right back can't happen in the next leg. He was an accident waiting to happen. Not enough creativity and resulted to the long ball. The only time we played decent football we scored the disallowed goal and then won a penalty. I'd like to see us play our own game in Denmark and not set up and play to their strengths. By the way time wasting from the 30th minute must be a first. -

They look extremely organised. Very nervous with their set pieces too

That's a goal if Rodriguez was match fit

Release clauses are not really relevant in England. They are not legally enforcable as Suarez found out when he tried to force a move to Arsenal a couple of seasons ago. Supposedly United made an enquiry to his availability when they bought Schneiderlin but were told he is not for sale and that, as far as i've seen was that. I could only see anything being revived if he has made it known to United that he wants the move to go through.

http://utdreport.com/2015/08/20/premier-league-star-expected-at-carrington-for-medical/ Doesn't look like a credible source considering the clubs comment on Sadio last night but thought I'd post it anyway.

Couldn't agree more, although Elia isn't the answer IMO. Redmond has started the season well, is young and would add to our HG contingency. Redmond, Van Dijk and another DM and I'd be happy with out summer dealings.

CONFIRMED - Virgil Van Dijk joins on Five Year Deal

Wow. You really are an absolute wet wipe. The clubs scouting department definitely hasn't been off in the last two seasons CB wise. Have some faith for Christ sake -
Agreed. United probably then just through an enquiry our way which was rebuffed and now Pedro is off to Chelsea they are deflecting the loss of Pedro with Mane

BREAKING SSN: Mane is not for sale - Southampton

Sky Sports News now reporting a comment will be made from the club tonight in regards to the 'bid'

Wrong thread -
Because if they're desperate for him and offer 10-15 above our original valuation you think reed and co are going to say no?

BBC Sport: Southampton have admitted Manchester United are interested in signing Senegal winger Sadio Mane. Strange choice of word seeing as it has only emerged in the last hour or so. It's not like it's been in the pipeline for a long time. As quickly as this is escalating though I'm getting quite worried he will go. At the same time if he wants out we should cash in now and replace him. The last thing we want is United panicking and buying him on deadline day, leaving us without arguably our best player.
-
Straight swap for chicharito and januzaj.
-
I agree but Fonte was linked with Villa. United are a different kettle of fish
-
I agree Muller seems extremely unlikely but I'd be surprised if they'd spend the huge amount we would insist on for Mane considering the forward options they have.
-
The fact LVG keeps referring to the point he wants a goalscorer to drop Rooney back to last seasons role. Back in for Muller too who bayerns main striker these days.
-
They're clearly in the market for an out an out striker. Not sure mane is the man for that roll. I'd be shocked to see him leave this window, he's still got a lot to prove before looking at a top 4 side.
-
Chelsea have agreed a fee and all but signed Pedro. Can't see Cuadrado going to a club at least in the champions league though
-
Another reason to hate the spuds. This is absolutely terrible, what an embarrassment.
-
Juanmi to bag a third and keep these 3-0 victories going
-
Maybe caulker was the sweetener and Austin the real target. An alternative option to Pelle as with the potential of Europa League he could burnout and a decent backup centre half. VVD and fantastic window!
