Oh I didn´t know all those met Arsenal, Chelsea, Newcastle and Everton away + Man City, Spurs and Chelsea at home. My bad....

Not very interesting what teams situation today is, is it? And what teams do you think cope better that we are close to? Newcastle? Very few injuries, in fact probably the team with the fewest recent 2 months.... Everton? Well we discussed the other week that they had one starter out then. Other than those I dont see any teams that cope better than us on that list unless you think we´re close to Arsenal, Liverpool, Spurs and United and surely it´s only happy clappers that supposedly believe we´re close to them with our squad? How many teams in the league has been forced to play 3rd choice keeper for 5 games in a row?

Wanyama is the one releasing Morgan to press up higher which allows Lallana and JRod to push up higher etc etc... He is the key to so much in our performances the first 10-12 games and thoroughly missed...

Both yes and no though. Last year he played all but Arsenal, Aston Villa and Fulham and this year we´re half way through the season + 1 extra game against Chelsea. Anyone would understand though that playing 7 games out of 9 against top 8 teams in such a short space of time with injuries damaging the team would be extremely tough and nothing you really can put down to the manager.

Win this and next round is january 25th with Arsenal in the league the 28th..... God forbid a draw in this one and get another game away at Burnley midweek....

So with that logic of yours, wouldn´t Cortese understad that we in that case cant compete with Chelsea despite what happened last year since they´ve invested over £60m in the summer?

Did not know we were doing worse.... Hmm, where is that table again..... And do someone have any link to the table from last year?

Never really understand this "we´ve invested this and that much money"... Has the other clubs NOT done that, and are we in that case allowed to say that we´ve only invested £8m at the moment when Wanyama and Osvaldo is out then???

How many victories would be expected out of games against Arsenal, Chelsea, Newcastle and Everton away, and Spurs, Man City and Chelsea at home? Villa is the only real let down in results and you would perhaps hope to win some more game like maybe Spurs home or Newcastle away but that is far from expecting to win games like that. Cortese knows where we are at the moment and is also clever enough to know that with so many injuries as we´ve had at the same time as this schedule it would hurt us.

Bigger picture is the answer. Anyone thinking Cortese just blindely looks at results (like I guess som people on here do at 5pm saturdays) before making decisions and dont look at what might be the reason to results really hasn´t followed us the last 4,5 yrs. Then there are people that always got stuck on a single quote and well, cant really help those out I guess...

Stop and start approach is really the way to go....
