I´ve said it before and will do it again. Ramirez can do a good job as CM, especially in games we are supposed to dominate, his range of passing is better than anyone else in the squad by miles... (maybe Tadic can come close now)

Do people understand the difference between buying players that their clubs want to hold on to or buying players that they wanna sell. In FM language "players that are transfer listed" We´re looking at players that their clubs want to hold on to, then it´s basically two choices you have. Overpay or be patient and negotiate. Man United and Liverpool choose that first choice, to overpay for Lallana and Shaw (Lambert a whole different story). The transfer window closes 31 august (or if its first weekday in september) so its still 5 weeks left to make business. Ideally you want players in early but then you have to overpay or settle with lesser quality. And at the moment we´re looking at players from clubs that in the upcoming two weeks are involved in Champions League qualification so it´s very unlikely they´re ready to sell before that even if we meet their asking price. Not a hard concept to understand people?

Fair comment and I obviously dont know the whole picture. Was just searching through my mind and you have been taking on loans the last 2-3 seasons like Guidetti, Bakkal, Armenteros (I think was on loan) so that´s what made me have a thought about it. True, the financial situation will be better from sales this summer but aren´t your squad still pretty thin with probably another 2-3 departures since you´re also guaranteed to playing at least in Europa League? (or is it also a EL-qualification if you lose to Besiktas??)

Said it in another forum but what if we could strike a deal with Feyenoord that when we make deals and buy one or two more players from them they can get two youngsters over on a years loan. If we´re going to play a more dutch style now that can be a great experience for them as well as getting better/tougher games than they do in the U21-games. I´m sure we have youngsters that are just the level below PL and not quite ready for it but would make a good job in Eredivisie. Feyenoord are still not that strong financially so they get money for selling players and dont have to pay other than the wages for the youngsters going to them and they aren´t usually on a high salary... And it´s not to suggest as to them becoming a feeder club, we would still pay them good money for the players. Just to help them in a situation right now when their players are attracting a lot of interest. Even if players like Clasie, Kongolo, De Vrij etc will move to us, they will still lose this players eventually..
