  1. Huffton, ignore the Science museum and the Natural History museum, they're rubbish compared to the British Museum - which, coincidentally, is only a 15 minute brisk walk from the Royal Courts of Justice
  2. I'd walk rather than have to suffer South Eastern Trains, tbf. Commiserations, trousers. Still no news on the timing of tomorrow's court hearing? I need to make sure I'm not in any other meetings so that I can go along report back to you all, live from the RCJ - assuming that's where it'll take place, like all their other court appearances?
  3. I can see this following a similar pattern to last time. PFC will argue for administration on the basis that it presents the creditors with the best chance of getting some return. HMRC will argue against on the basis that continuing to trade will increase PFC's liability to them. The court will request a further statement of affairs to show how admin will be funded and how creditors could possibly expect any repayment as a result of admin. PFC will be back in the companies court in 3 weeks to present a work of fiction. Alternatively, Lampitt has applied for admin to protect himself from personal liability but knows it's highly unlikely to be granted and PFC will be wound up on Monday. *prays*
  4. Do they really think that the court will allow them to enter administration whilst also thinking it so unlikely that they'd be granted a validation order they didn't even apply for one?
  5. There's no point in giving HMRC's brief gyp, he knows the law and the antics of the courtroom far better than anyone here ever will. Having said that, I bet Redknapp's brief wouldn't scratch his arse for the rates offered for panel cousel.
  6. And having read FF's post above, maybe we should be thinking of starting a campaign to give MM, PS and HR the Freedom of Southampton. Tee hee.
  7. I think maybe my attitude to Redknapp is softening somewhat given the sheer amount of money he sucked out of the Skates over the years. Let's face it, he got considerably ricker at their expense. He's living it up in Sandbanks, they're facing another WUP. I'm struggling to see what he's done wrong.
  8. I feel for you - we've had great laughs of the last few days, weeks, months and years at your expense. Long may it continue.
  9. He's on the radio now. I've just been sick.
  10. Haven't Sport England got a few (million) more worthwhile projects to spend their money on? Ah yes: Now if only Pompey had an academy worthy of the name they could claim they were doing just that. Whoops. It's irrelevant anyway, Sport England won't touch that lot with 20ft pole.
  11. OK, Ho, you're so sure of this, start a new thread and we'll point out how many times you're wrong. Deal?
  12. Yep, and now he's not funding it, the deals aren't sustainable and you have to pay the price. Just take your punishments and deal with it rather than squealing "it's just not fair, it's not our fault" like a bunch of spoilt little children. It's no different to any other club's financial issues. All the outgoings looked "sustainable" at one point - ours, Plymouth's, Rushden's, Kettering's, Wigan's, Bolton's, Forest's - but then circumstances change. Some of those clubs have taken their punishments, others probably have them to come. None of them have pleaded to the Prime Minister to be let off their tax bills. You're no different to any of them. Just accept that you're in the **** due to the deals your club signed and take the whack that's due to you.
  13. Aaaargh - who's the guy on the cover of the 3rd programme?
  14. Unless they trade under another name, they didn't get stiffed in the previous CVA....
  15. *highfive*
  16. THat quote from Pancake
  17. This is Chinny's plan - blow the whole place to smithereens, claim the insurance money and, with no football ground in existence it'll be easier to sell the land.
  18. Oh dear. Train trouble around Portsmouth, according to 5Live. "Disruption affecting trains through Fratton, which may disrupt football fans" Another few who will have an excuse for not packing the park.
  19. Can't say I'd be surprised if they hadn't even bothered applying for a validation order.
  20. Future payments due under contract to players were included in the last CVA votes, so who knows...
  21. The yanks could only take down .com, .org and .net sites using the powers they used yesterday.
  22. You mean they need our help to 'pack the park'? ROFL.
  23. Jeepers. Cala almost makes Marc Jackson seem sensible.
  24. http://coopermatthews.com/validation-order.html Now wouldn't THAT be an interesting read!
