  1. Sorry forum clever clogs for not thinking in your way almighty one X Ps go on and have a read of some historical books about where an ambitious approach has led to a growth. It is bigger ambitious thinking that makes things better, I'm not suggesting we build the next Nou Camp but 10k seats would be filled with the correct pricing structure no problem, maybe not all of the time but enough to make a difference. Do you think a restaurant chain shuts because it isn't at capacity all of the time or that maybe 80% of the time it is so it can grow. Now there is a thought...
  2. But I and many other think we do. Your turn.
  3. Incorrect, check the actual real stats, and why does it need to be full anyway? Small time thinking
  4. Well that's not really true is it now. Let's not state this as a fact when it isn't
  5. We've got enough money to add capacity to the stadium now without having to spend any we do not have..just a thought...
  6. And the bra comments continue... Showed it to my wife yesterday and said that some men thought it looked like a bra. She sighed and said it confirmed to her that football fans are f*****g stupid, or have just never seen a bra before. Maybe all those posting this are actually sexually inactive 14 year olds, although they will be looking at proper bras all the time in lingerie catalogues so can't be them.
  7. It's not really obscene though, go check out how much you'd pay for a Gucci t-shirt with no technical qualities to it, just a cotton shirt with a print on. £510 on Mr Porter. Now that, it could be argued, is fairly obscene for a t-shirt so £50 for a 'performance' sports shirt is not too bad.
  8. Agreed. Not sure what kind of bra people see, they generally cover those lovely areas of flesh but this would leave them beautifully exposed. The new kit's white area does not resemble a bra, let's stop saying it because it makes you look like you have never seen one.
  9. That's probably because a group of people with not very good taste have to make the final decision As for the kits with the black away, I reckon that's it, similar style of artwork to previous confirmed versions.
  10. I think the assistant might be Guy Manuel, or is that one of the Daft Punk duo and I'm mistaken nice helmets
  11. Meltdown 13: revenge of the forum lava
  12. Clubs also had much closer income levels relative to now, we used to get a share of gate receipts when we played at Old Trafford etc. and that's a key difference. Success from the mid to late 80s when the big money started pouring into the game or having a billionaire injecting seriously big money into a club changed the landscape completely.

  14. We definitely shouldn't be taking months over this. we need the deal done quickly with us telling LFC the acceptable figure and giving them a decent deadline. If Mane is leaving, we don't need him here when players are returning for pre season. Our business needs to be done quickly this summer.
  15. Possibly the one with the one colour back
  16. Bloody foreigners, coming over here, stealing our jobs. It's times like these when you need to ask: 'What would Nigel Cabage do?'
  17. So in order to trade with Europe, we will have to keep free movement of people and the regulations that come with it, and likely pay for it to. Unless of course the little inglanders want Van Dijk etc. to leave the club, which I'm guessing they don't.
  18. No blame from me for Koeman. This was what was going to happen and (from the ITK posts) the club didn't want him to stay. This was a potential good thing if we were prepared with an alternative, which currently is taking longer than was probably wanted.
  19. After the nation has gone all anti foreigners we've surely got to appoint a British, sorry English, because Scotland won't be hanging around, manager
  20. I would think this one is just a matter of tying up the financials if it has now gone to a larger media outlet like the BBC, especially when it is their chief football reporter writing about it. Bye Mane
  21. No doubt that a move could happen to Liverpool but surely we don't need to accept £25m. Hadn't we already apparently slapped a £40m fee on him anyway?
  22. Hasn't the arch journo enemy of Saints gone to the S** now? Sh!tty scum newspaper that tries to keep people stupid
  23. Regardless of players staying for a long time or not, it would be great if somehow we could organise ourselves to come up with original songs for players. It can be done, start something in a pub and let it grow
  24. Selling players early will allow us to have money early on and allow better planning of replacements. This has probably been ongoing for awhile given victor wanted to go to Spurs last summer. Far better to move a player on then get others in early.
  25. Shouldn't there be a thought about how long do we need players to stay? Players leave all clubs, only the very biggest keep the majority for a long time so probably needs to be a mix of the time duration players stay with us. For me, we need a core group of 5-7 first team players to play for at least 5 years, one or two who will stay for 10 years or more. The rest needs to be some coming in who improve us and stay for at least 3 years, and then youth coming in to keep things fresh every season. Currently, following Wanyama's departure, we are on track for this being established. The key trying for our ongoing success is that every player who comes here feels they have improved their career. If the academy starts producing the type of players the strategy requires, we won't need to buy as many in but players and their agents will always feel there are opportunities elsewhere. To avoid that, and even then, players still move on, we need to be winning trophies on a regular basis.
