I clearly do get your point. I just think you're over thinking it. Pelle also scored goals people critiqued at the start of the season as "not as well controlled as it could have been" as if evidence to show he was lacking. I'm saying that's daft. A goal is a goal, and a thing to celebrate, not nit pick. It a hard enough thing to achieve in the first place. Mane needs some development to be at his most effective. But he's done good things too.

The thing that I find amazing is how easily each of them seem to slot into the first team on their debuts/first seasons. Consistently so. It always seems less of a risk bringing an academy player into the team, than importing a player from abroad who isn't used to the Premier League. The first team have looked drained over the past few games, but what an advantage for Koeman to be able to bring in the fresh energetic talents of the youth team. He has seemed a little nervous to do so before now, and I'm wondering if yesterday opened his eyes a bit. They are unfazed, and they take tactical instruction very well. It wouldn't be right for every game, but I do think he can use the kids more when he needs to.

I'd put Pelle as captain - he is very vocal on the pitch, and eveyone looks to him....
