No, but if you start it, I'll sing along, Turks.

Really looking forward to seeing Harry Reed get a run of games. Much as love our new team, there's nothing more exciting to see the academy boys flourishing.

Brilliant. Love the man!

Van Gaal - "a lot of Saint players were offered to us"

I'm not normally one for gossip, but that makes a fascinating read! Go, Ronald Koeman! -

That's how I took it as he was also discussing how Man U have to pay over the odds for the same players because of their name. -
Booze, Plastic. Get my self organised = going to the supermarket to buy booze. Go sit in the naughty corner.

I wouldn't be responding, if I wasn't enjoying the debate, Plastic. But no, I'm not going to demean a bunch of skilled and talented women, by putting pictures here and involving them in a beauty contest. But anyway, I've got a house party to organise for tonight, and I've done bugger all so far. So I've gotta love ya and leave ya, Plastic. Enjoy those google images!

No need to say sorry Plastic. Your viewpoint says more about you than the female Rugby players. And given how much time I'm wasting on a football forum right now, or singing songs at a football game, or drinking ale, or hanging out with the lads. Or swearing. I guess you'd be turning your nose up at me too. Which is a tough one to take, but I'll cope. Netball would be loved by men if they got over their silly prejudice. It's a fast paced aggressive and very competitive sport. Our team has a 6'5 South African guy playing, and he loves it.

I work in a female dominated sector (approx 80% women 20% men) although my particular field is a more even split. While I wish it was a more even split across the board, one of the benefits is we don't get the macho boy bullsh*t putting women off sport. So we have lots of sports teams where anyone is welcome: football, softball, netball, badminton, table tennis. And as a result, there are just so many really bloody good women sportspeople. Some where you can see they have natural talent but it's just not been nurtured. Others where they play to a semi professional level. There seems to be a higher general level of sport amongst the men - I think because they generally play more, and are encouraged to do so - but when women are given the opportunity in a positive culture, you'd be surprised how much skill rises to the surface. And you know what, the 'butch' thing is pretty offensive. The women I see who like sport are a complete mix of women from different backgrounds, different weekend hobbies, different tastes, are they're all pretty gorgeous in their own ways. Not that this has any relevance to their skills as sportspeople.

I'm all for mixed sport. I've noticed mixed netball teams have become more common. That's a really intense sport to play. And mixed softball is a lot of fun too.

I agree. He also seems a strong leader on the pitch too.

Yes, but they both keep fuelling that fire by answering the question. I think it's because Koeman can't help but give an honest answer to every question, but I'm not sure he's helping himself by doing so.
-
Did you see how annoyed he was at himself for missing the Arsenal chance? Arrogance is not an issue here. He's just lacking the service, so has fewer chances.
-
PS. I hate rugby. And I hate cricket. Because they're posh sports. So there you go - I'm prejudiced too
-
But Plastic, I'm not in the slightest bit manish, and that's the point - people don't always meet your expectations, but you've got to stay open minded about these things. I wouldn't beat you fighting, because I'm not that big. Neither drinking (though I'd have a good go) and I'd probably have a go at swearing, just to prove you wrong, but I'm hardly a navvy. No one ever pigeon holes men, but women get this all the time, and it's bloody annoying. There are so many women out there like me - quite feminine, but a healthy amount of tomboy too. You'd think this would be a perfect mix for guys, but instead men always seem to worry we're treading on their toes. It's weird!

"Boxing - Surely this is a blokey one? Do girls really like watching boxing. Most girls I know get all upset if people start fighting. Verdit: Blokes / geezers" I feel thoroughly trolled. But seriously?! I love boxing. Nigel Benn was my hero. I always remember watching Paul Hodkinson with my Dad, happy memories. And don't call me butch. Plastic, you're so rigid, putting people in little boxes. Life isn't that simple!

Thanks for watching my back cellone! Goatboy - I'm never tetchy. Occasionally emotional, I'll admit. But never tetchy. I did shed a tear when Adkins got sacked, but who on here didn't. But seriously, I'm not replying anymore to this thread, I promise. I hate being off topic. My summary is: Arsenal were damn lucky, everyone (except Merson) respects us, Saints supporters on the East side of the Emirates were very vocal (no matter what the rest of you say), men are strangely scared of women in a very weird way (tho I'm not scared of them), and Saintsweb is pretty damn good despite this.
-
Apologies, I agree. I take full responsibility for responding to off topic responses. That said, sometimes, I think this crap needs a response.
-
Sorry, mate, I'm not budging. If you've got an issue with me, then only solution I can see if you buggering off!
-
I'm sure she will be very relieved that you think that... Very relieved.
-
Yes, don't disagree, and I'm curious to know as well. We could definitely do with another strong centre back.
-
Wasn't he a bit nervy in one if the games he did play in? Can't remember which it was. Possibly a cup game?
-
So I guess you're not allowed in that sanctuary either then Turks. Boom boom!
-
Wow. Did I just imagine it, or was that a compliment from grouchy Lawro?

I thought I was your new internet girlfriend. And now you're saying I don't exist? You have a complex mind, Bearsy.
