We've got a good quota of high profile ex saints players in the media. And popular ones too.

I'm currently utilising a range of approaches. Dominated by an air of noble and elegant humility, but with appropriate subterfuge when the opportunity arises. It's so much fun particularly after the smugness of the summer from the Liverpool and Spurs supporters at work. Luckily, I held strong with confidence over the summer, so while saying 'I told you so' is always a mistake, I find a mild shrug and "I did say..." seems to do the job. There are enough supporters of other clubs laughing at Spurs and Liverpool, to mean I can take a more kindly and sympathetic tone to their plight. Although I do always make sure I innocently ask how their games went at the weekend...

The point he misses is that there's more to this success than one man. It's not luck, it's a fully formed and effectively implemented business strategy, that's based on various elements coming together as a greater part. Which makes the issue of luck or no luck a less dominant factor, and makes our ability to withstand a crisis, much stronger.

Has anyone mentioned Tadic being nominated for player of the month? Or we blasé about these things now...

I imagine it's got something to do with people tending to write in a more conversational way these days. Which is probably partly down to people writing more online (in forums like this) where you are likely to write like how you speak. I've started sentences with 'so' before, and while I can imagine it annoys traditionalists (so maybe I'll avoid it now!) I enjoy writing in a way I would speak - feels more natural to me.

I'm really interested to see how Rodruigez develops under Koeman. He had so much potential last year, but I think Koeman could take him to the next level, particularly as the emphasis seems to be about speed and attacking (rather than possession under Pochettino). We'll see. Might struggle to get into the team at first though...
